I really love how Shmuel was portrayed. I felt badly for him. He was sincere, and somewhat fearful of losing what was good. And it was good! The law is good; it’s from God. I’m sure many Pharisees felt they were defending God. But fear can block us from Truth. Shmuel was portrayed very human. Masterful work

I agree. Jesus didn’t come to throw out the law but to fulfil it. Many church members nowadays have this same religious spirit and for them tradition is held as more important than whatever new thing God might be doing.

I know that the priests and the teachers of that time opposed and fought Jesus's teaching but you somehow made me have empathy for Shmuel and to think he was indeed trying to protect his heritage from a possible false prophet. With that, I am not trying to justify their acts against Jesus and his apostles. Great job! Looking forward to see Shmuel again. Oh my dear God! Great interview! The Chosen is the greatest story I've ever had the pleasure of viewing, hearing and embracing. It has changed my life. I'm watching the TV series on Prime for the third time now. And I will continue to watch it over and over again. I've purchased the theatre passport for season 4, and have already enjoyed the first three episodes. Dallas absolutely succeeded in choosing the best actors to tell this story. This was one of the most insightful interviews I have ever watched. I had no idea the level of work and camaraderie and just everything that goes into this business. Shaan is such an articulate person - I can't think of anyone better to be a representative of SAG. I had not heard of The Chosen (or any of these actors), until I saw a message that popped up on the Osmond Facebook fan page I'm on, about Eric Osmond having a part in it. I scrambled to find it, binge watched the whole first season trying to find him, only to find out he's in the second season. But, In the meantime, I discovered all these fabulous, gifted, humorous actors, Dallas and all his dedicated team and I'm so blessed! It's like finding a treasure I didn't know I was looking for! Villains are usually less loved by people, but Shaan's acting is phenomenal❣️ He makes me believe he's that learned, enthusiastic, ignorant Pharisee that pursues Jesus for the wrong reasons with all his heart. I did not like shmuel when I watched the Chosen. I have a lot more respect for him now, after meeting and getting to know more about Shaan. Very wise and talented actor.
