This week's message on the life of David, Judah details why he was called the man after God's own heart. David's example of gratitude and his life of blessing helps us see how special and chosen we too are in God's heart.

This series is literally changing my entire perception of life. I have been “trying to WORK it out” for so so long and getting it wrong. At first I can hang but at some point I always get blasted straight back down. I’m so tired of “working on it” and failing. Just that word “WORKS” makes me sick because I always end up failing and not measuring up and then I feel terrible. I just want God to change “works” to “PURSUADE.” Every time you mention that you believe that the message is meant for someone listening, I know it’s for me.

I've been scared by churches like that, and had left the church for so long, the God used my 8 year old son to persuade me, back to church again, and to Him most of all.

This is so funny and totally relatable! I often judge myself against others and how I think God is blessing them more than me or how He loves them more than me. Sometimes (more often lately) I leave church feeling worse than before. Sister so and so is pregnant again. Children are a gift from the Lord. [God must really love her LOL]. So and so is selling all their possessions and leaving to go on a mission trip for a whole year. [God must really love him. Look at how anointed and gifted he is LOL]. So on and so on. I haven't even finished this message yet but it's good to laugh at things church people don't often talk about. Thanks Pastor Judah and Churchome team. God bless.

Judah this sermon has so many levels that were so unbiblical. This was beyond man centered. Very close to heresy. I'm being genuine wow. Within 2 minutes he tells the people they dont have to believe what he preaches... why?

You don't have to believe the same in order to love other people. People don't have to believe the same as Judah for him to hang out with them.

Man... so close... great communicator... just misses the point of the David narrative. I hate even saying anything because I look like I'm "judging" him. And I am certainly judging the overall message. He shares that we can't do it - it's Christ! Amen. This is it - the gospel is Christ's work, dying on the cross, resurrecting, and perfecting us through our Counselor, the Holy Spirit. No, we're not perfect and no, we're not David. David is an OT lesser Jesus. He is the "savior" of Israel, He is not the likely candidate for saving Israel from the Philistines, yet, God uses Him. The same way Christ (Isaiah 53) isn't a likely candidate by human standards, yet He is God in the flesh, here to save Israel from their sin. He's the greater David, Noah, Moses and so on. I really like Judah's stye and personality when it coms to preaching. I just wish he would stay with Christ as the center line of all preaching and teaching. So close... but 1 degree is 1 degree. We gotta preach the bible right. I know this ruffles feathers... but... I couldn't sit by without communicating this.

Isn't it possible that what he's preaching is completely correct, while what you said above is also right? Just because he didn't touch on the symbolism for Jesus doesn't mean what he said about David is wrong. Even if David was a foreshadowing of Jesus, he was still human and flawed and not free of sin. Just like other biblical figures that foreshadowed Jesus' coming were not perfect symbols, because they were all humans who sinned.

Priscilla A indeed, plenty of what he said was spot on. I don’t disagree with anything he said really. I must be clear, I love the style in which he communicates. His message on Barabbas and how Jesus took his place, man... I was so blessed by it. The story of David is about the “unlikely Savior” and how even he was flaws and has a body that has decayed but we have a perfect “unlikely Savior” who is not decaying in the ground, but His body is in resurrected and He is eternal King forever. There needs to be a care to avoid “self-help and self-improvement”. It’s genuinely about needing Christ completely and depending on His work in you. I feel like he missed it, barely. But still.
