I have a confession to make as we are ment to confess to one another. I backslid on drugs which is tearing me apart because of the battle to stay off it. Before I was born again 19months ago I struggled with over 20years of serious addiction. I thought I'd never use again but in a moment of weakness did and am still paying for it including with my finances. Which is so selfish when people are starving all over the world 😢. I'm still paying the debt and struggling to get of addictive medication. Please pray for me brothers and sisters. I would appreciate it so much 🙏🥰

I am also an addict. Every drug you can think of, but for the past 10 years it was opiates and finally IV heroin. I've found in recovery that sometimes I'd have small hiccups and beat myself up over it like you're saying. Now that I'm a spirit filled Christian I can see that Satan used that guilt to keep me down. Proverbs 24:16 for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes. In other words, don't let this cause you to keep stumbling and falling. I learned how to focus on God, praying, being silent before Him, filling my days and head and thoughts with Him to drown out my issues with addiction......which is really a spiritual sickness. If I can get better so can you. I'm praying for you.

@@SandraMcChannel You are right but there are other scriptures in the New Testament for example 2 Corinthians chapters 8 and 9 that repeat Malachi 3 without the legalistic flare of Malachi 3 which by the way is why many Christians attack the teachings on tithe. The way brother DP presents giving in general and tithing in particular is from a GRACE (instead of LAW) perspective and began with our father Abraham way before the law was given a show that tithing began before the law and such approach is hard to argue against.

Ads are not a function of the age of the video but rather they are controlled by the channel owner/uploader/content creator. If you upload content to KZbin, one of the ways to monetize that content (i.e. receive some sort of compensation) is to allow KZbin to display ads. These settings are in your user dashboard. This only applies if you have an AdSense account though. So yeah, not necessarily the age of the video, but rather if the channel owner opts to have ads displayed on their videos. But I agree with you, some content creators go waaaay overboard and have the ad settings ridiculously aggressive and this is when on some videos you will see like like an ad every 2 minutes. Like 30 ads in one video. Even worse that regular TV! Unsustainable if you ask me and a sure way to anger the very audience you are trying to attract 😎

Start by just putting your hand on the Bible each day. Then contemplate reading it. Then open it. Pray God speak to you through the words. Then read just one sentence or paragraph. That's how i did it. It's the devil trying to stop you. Don't let him. Be persistent.

@@ihade931 I think we should give freely and generously but also wisely. I encountered a homeless man in a public toilet who asked me to give him $5. And I didn't agree to give him, not because I don't want to give him, it's because the reason he asked me is that I was wearing a full suit, so he targeted me. He was looking for opportunity to take other people's money, he didn't ask because he desperately need it, that's why. Furthermore, there are other people in that public toilet, but he chose to ask me for money, because I was the only person wearing a suit. And I think we should never feel guilty because we didn't give or donate money to someone. Jesus entrusted us the money we have, the money is legally ours, give out of the fear of the Lord and to glorify God.

Boy! i feel bless with this message...God told me to start business n He is blessing the business and i went to a church and they need a building for church because they are renting. I ask God how can i help to raise money and He told me to make prayer shauls and sell them for $5. Now, the sales are not so hot so when people give me $5 donation towards my business, i would give them a shaul and tell them how to use it and they are greatful that they got something for their donation...i know my Father is pleased in this area with me according to this teaching..bless the Lord

Money is an object, and I see it as a tool; a representation of time, effort, and even sacrifice. Because it's not a living thing, the value doesn't come even close to the things that are full of life. Money can't buy the infinite, miracles, emotions; and those are just some of the ingredients of our existence. Money; like anything else, it can potentially be put to good or bad use. It's very satisfying to have the power to cover some of your personal wants and needs, family, and those that can receive your help. Always be grateful to God, because even if you have $1 in your pocket, you're already a rich man or woman. Life is the greatest possession we have and was given it to us for free. I think it's pretty clear who we should worship and love with all of our hearts.

I agree. As soon as I find a good cause or church to donate to, I find out the leaders are corrupt, greedy and living better than most millionaires! Makes me sick! So I just pray for God to give me discernment and send the people to me that He wants me to help financially. I am on $900 a month Social Security and have 3 children, 14 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. They always need help financially. Maybe that's my mission....Why should I see them suffer ( they are just short of poverty and homelessness) when there are so many crooks out there begging? The churches do not help!

@@HotSeat17 Clearly and according to God's word, we are to look after the needs of our family. Obviously you are among the poor who should be helped. At least the church should be a safe haven, a chance to mingle, make friends, with free nursery, Sunday school, etc. Someone there may notice your true needs, and help in one way or another, if the leadership doesn't.

Jenny Newton , back in the late 80s a kid in high school gave me some cassettes of Mr. Prince...over time I lost them. It wasn't until about 3 years ago I was reminded of him by Steve Quayle...I went to KZbin really not expecting to find anything. I was so happy to find all these sermons. I've listened to them many times & continue to. There is so much wisdom to be found. Everything belongs to God Provider. We're simply receiving His provisions to pass on and share with the poor and needy. How we earn living and how we utilize earning matters a lot to God. When it comes to spiritual poverty, money is the least concern. The spiritually poor people, the most of them are materialistically and financially rich are harder to be saved. Am in the middle of preaching and transforming the rich Chinese ''Christ believers'' who are, at your easy guess, very egotistical and stingy. They worship all sorts of Mammons, even though they claim they're Christians. They're pigheaded and helplessly materialistic and tangible. All I do for these spiritually destitutes is to pray to God and He will save them. I share with them my supernatural experience with God's provisions and protections. God likes wise, diligent, and generous people. The motive must be absolutely pure. When we're wise with our life, diligent with seeking knowledge and discernment, and big-hearted in giving, sharing and caring with the needy, God blesses us more than we expect. We have to be selfless and conscientious about everything we think, feel, say, and act. When we have been given the Holy Spirit and convicted with it, the Christian life gets very very easy and natural. The Holy Spirit directs us what to do about everything concerning our daily life. Don't waste money, time, emotion, energy and even speech wastefully. Every minute, cent, and word counts for God. Many believers including pastors and leaders are still chasing after money and wind. They think they are called by God to minister, but, in many cases, it's their delusion. Those who called by God do not answer, while those who are not called think they're called and preach their own wrong doctrines. Be aware of this reality.

I am happy to have come across Derek's videos on KZbin in 2021.What strikes me most is how he profoundly presented his teachings and with simplicity moreover he basically presented the Bible truth: nothing outside the Bible.I like his calm way of preaching and yet you can't miss to note it's with authority he did it.Atruly annoited teacher of God's word.I felt sad to learn that he passed away.However his teachings are still effective.

I know a lot of people are have an issue with tithing being under the old law, I personally have seen the windows of heaven opened up, and pour down on my family and me. I prefer to continue testing Him in this, He is so faithful to His word. js
