The Great Commission isn't a new mission, but a re-commissioning of the cultural mandate with Jesus as the new Adam. Rather than exclusively being through biological reproduction, we are seeing Jesus restore the Image of God in the children of the first Adam around the world, and filling the world with image bearers. The mistake that Evangelicals, including myself, have tended to believe is that this is primarily done through evangelism, rather than understanding the role that the Christian family/household plays in this movement. It is biological+discipleship.
