I love the way Ed Asner says Grace at the dinner table..he is so kind and loving to his family and guest through out the movie...he loves his family and Cody....the family is sooooo great and sweet!

I also love the fact that they set a great example of what family should be like .there is no swearing, church is so important, pure and simple no "F" word which has got to be the one of the most vulgar words ever created in our vocabulary.. The atmosphere is cherie, and the air is filled with laughter and kind words, and comlinentary towards everyone.😊

What a lovely movie. Great actors too. There is another logging /mill movie like this, I kept thinking this was it, but if I remember correctly, it had more mill scenes in it and some drama about the mill going under...but the girl and guy got together and worked it, to carry on the family legacy.

Love this movie. Just finished watching again. Cody & Faith belong together. Paul was not the right guy for Faith. So happy Cody & Faith fell in love & ended up as a couple. Luke & Rosie are great parents & the cast members did a great job. Wish there had been a sequel to "The Christmas Card" with the cast members now as family. Will be watching again & again. ❤❤😊😊

I believe it was 2006/7 and this is the Christmas movie that put me on the train, of binge watching yearly Hallmark movies (even my wife gets annoyed at my affinity for Hallmark Christmas movie binging). I love this movie.....even if it is not exactly Christmas on this warm June day. I would like respond to some of the replies implicating the lack of spontanuity regarding Cody. One should always leave things to the individual's imagination, be it in the writing as well as in the acting of the artists. Never forget that the most beautiful things are said in total silence, the eyes and the facial expressions tell more than words can ever convey. These are the sort of parents I wished I would have had. Loving and caring for others. A stable loving home. Parents who love each other bring up their children with love and a stable home life. My mum did her best bless her. But this movie makes me happy that there is love and light out there. Yes it’s a movie but just think if everyone loved and cared like this how wonderful life could be.
