The Christmas market in the Pied Piper town Hamelin (Lower Saxony) is located in the middle of the old town around the St. Nicolai church and the Wedding house, where the carillon begins to chime at exactly 3:35 p.m. The Christmas market is one of the most famous and beautiful in Northern Germany and attracts with stalls with fried cakes, fried sausages, mulled wine and the children's carousel should not be missing. The large Christmas fir tree stands in front of the Canon House and the Leist House (museum) in the Easter Street, the Christmas pyramid next to the Emperor’s fountain on the Horse Market Square. Long-time viewers will have noticed. The 4 wooden Advent candles are not placed on the fountain this year, but instead there are horses that light up in the night. A new attraction is the Ferris wheel at the Market Square, corner of Baker Street.
