@thatsmisskellytoyou I would compare her more to Mariah than Aguilera, style wise. I personally can't stand Aguilera's embellishment. There's always too much and it easily becomes distracting and annoying. She's got a powerful voice but overuses her trills. Now, Whitney knows how to use trills in just the right amount. just sayin.

You do have a great voice, but imho, I think you need more of an edge or more emotion put into your singing. Not to stereotype, but most asians (I am filipino too) focus on the technical aspects of what they do, in this case singing, but neglect the soul/emotional/creative/connect with your audience side of it. You are technically a great singer, I'd just like to see you let loose a little. It's too clean cut and safe... Again, just my ever so humble opinion.
