Fun fact, the Christmas pickle is actually a tradition that originated in Germany. Also this is the third time Jimmy has talked about The Santa Clause and has been uncertain about which movie it is

Is it specific to certain regions in the US perhaps? I'm in the southwest and I'd never heard of it until a few years ago when my brother-in-law (who is from the northeast) brought it up. I must have had the same look as Jimmy here when it came up, just thinking things like "is this a joke? you have to be making this up!" and "but why? what's the point?" Pure confusion.

I’m loving this so much. I love hearing about other traditions. As an American, I’d also like to point out that the first time I found out about Yorkshire pudding, I made the mistake of thinking it was a custard type dessert. I was very disappointed 😅 The ice castle courtyard is soooo pretty!! 🤩

Might be a bit late to suggest this now, but it would be cool if you invited someone from non-english countries and ask them about their christmas traditions, because as a Norwegian I've realised that we have a lot of traditions that are quite different from yours. Some ideas for guests could be Keralis, Iskall and Docm77 :)

I love hearing about how everyone has their own ways of celebrating Christmas and how the traditions differ in different places. It’s so funny to me how presents on Christmas Eve or opening presents in the afternoon are considered uncommon when where I’m from majority of Christmas celebrations happen on Christmas Eve and traditionally we open presents the afternoon of the Eve. Love how this series has both cozy and chaotic vibes. Cant wait to see what comes next! 😊

im filipino and we start celebrating Christmas as soon as september 1st hits, in fact that our news channels have a christmas countdown that is shown everyday. additionally we also have noche buena to build up to christmas eve and simbang gabi on christmas eve plus we dont really have christmas trees but have christmas star lights called a parol that most people in the provinces make and sell for themselves and others. 😊

i've heard of this christmas pickle idea but as a canadian my family hasn't done that lol we do an exchange type of thing where we pick a color and a budget and with no labels on the wrapped gifts, you either get to open a gift or take a gift from someone else and then that person choses what to do next and at the end there's a last chance to take a gift and stuff :P

As a Canadian in BC, Yorkshire puddings are definitely a thing with roast beast. We usually have that on Boxing Day cuz Xmas was turkey dinner. For Gem to say it’s just an east coast thing made me mad 😆 Just like the UK we’ve done Xmas crackers too but it depends on who we’re having dinners at. Our house we read a bunch of stories Xmas Eve & go for a holiday light walk, weather permitting. Love this series. 🎄🎅🏼
