One of The Church's most sublime songs. Myrrh is the opening track on the 1985 fan-favorite album, "Heyday". The ebb and flow of the song with the great lyrics, will carry you into a near hypnotic state. One of their strengths is the building of the music through the song, and how they frequently finish with an elevated flair that lingers (is sonically savory) in your mind. Other examples of the extension of their building sound in a song would be in; "As You Will", "Under The Milkyway", "Reptile", "Hotel Womb": "Anesthesia", "Never Before", "I Don't Know How, I Don't Know Why" and many more. Myrrh is one of many great songs in The Church's deep catalog of brilliant music. ...And, It's one of my all time favorites. The entire "Heyday" album is worth a listen, along with their large catalog of albums. You can really see and hear their evolution over the decades in their Music and videos. Check out their latest album, 2023's "The Hypnogogue" which has received critical praise and continue's Steve and Co.'s creative musical exploration of great songs and stories.

My favourite Church song and one of my handful of favourite ever songs. Have always hoped someone would make a suitably evocative clip for this brilliant, shimmering piece of music. Thank you, it's absolutely superb, will always picture these images now when I play it.
