I’ve be holding on to the Lord hard these past couple weeks. I used to have this dream of being a famous artist. Went out and studied acting, made music. All that. When I got saved I was walking with the Lord for 6 months solidly. I was on fire! I saw the world through a whole other lens after I received the Spirit. But then the devil pulled me away “you quit” “you can’t have Jesus and be a rapper” “they’ll think you gave up”. And it got to me. I walked away from Christ, fell back into the world, drugs, corn, sex, and my days was it so empty in there. He bought me back to Himself and showed me His glory and blessed me. I deleted all my socials, music. I don’t want it. I want Jesus. And these past couple weeks I just know. That those “dreams” were all for the sake of people knowing me and wanting people to like me. But I have Jesus and He is more than enough. I could make music for the Lord but I know that it only came from a place of selfishness and making it about me. So praise God! I am excited for what His plan is for me!

Hey wanted to say your comment hit home for me. In my case It wasn't music but sport that triggered my self exaltation. I too have found, Art for the Lord's glory and not our own is such a paradox sometimes brother!! To produce things that are pleasing to him and are edifying to our brothers and sisters is difficult. So pray and Hope Jesus will be a lamp to guide your way through all of this bro! Shalom

His plan for you is the same as it is for me that in all we do, we glorify Him. That we die to ourselves but live for Him. Alex's channel points people to Christ, not Alex. That's the ask.

1 Corinthians 1:21 KJV [21] For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. God really made it so that nobody can get anything right on their own. Thats why we Christians need to constantly be humiliated and be compared to children. Thats why being a "popular Christian" is like being the king of retards 😂

I went years without social media. Deleted my Instagram and Snapchat. 7 years mater I just started a new Instagram. Heres why: Originally, I was depreased and comparing myself. Now I have grown and realize I dont need to be like them. And I prayed. Prayed a lot. I realized I was missing out on the lives of my friends. They have group chats on Instagram and social media. So, to stay connected, I made a new IG 3 weeks ago. I am connected with my friends, and God has opened my doors again. Now, I still leave it on mute and dont have it on my phone. It is far better to be quiet and share Jesus. It is humbling, peaceful, and quiet. Jesus would go out and preach and do miracles. He always pointed to His Father. Be like that. It is God, not us. People dont need to know your name, but the name of Jesus.

Truly this man loves what he does and does it because he cares. When you speak my brother It is so calm and correcting that only love is felt and many don’t even realize it. You speak so highly of Christ it is a blessing to hear. It is awesome to see the joy you get in the word because I feel that same joy. Hope all is well have a blessed day to everyone and may GOD bless us all in Jesus name.

This came to me right when I needed it most. I've been trying hard to fit in at church with people, and it's really gotten me nowhere. I need to walk with Jesus, know his voice, and follow in his footsteps even if that means forsaking popularity in my church.

I started serving at my church and saw a stage I could shine on. I started chasing popularity and it aided in my destruction and an immense amount of loss. Wish I had the wisdom and courage to step back then and listen to the H.S calling.

Hey Alex, love the new blacked out look and feel. Also long time fans. Just a quick tip that could be helpful with the color grading. You pushed the shadows waay too far. they are crushed and make for a patchy look, especially on your shirt. I know this might’ve been necessary in order for the background to go completely black. But, by darkening the background so much. It has affected the contrast of the foreground too much. And looks choppy, and you’ve lost a lot of information on the shirt. What you could do is perhaps use a soft box overhead with a honeycomb grid. That might stop excess light from spilling onto the background and in turn, you wouldn’t have to drop the shadows so much and cause a lack of information in the lows. Also I’m not a professional or anything, just trying to help, with what I’ve learnt. Cool beans

When the pride of life (1 John 2:16) peddles its way into the pulpit, the pews, and the hearts of God’s people, we are but one misstep closer to abandoning God altogether in favour of the idol of this world-self. God hates pride (Proverbs 6:17) and He will resist the one who manifests it. Be encouraged, brothers and sisters in Christ, that while God hates a proud heart, a broken and contrite heart He will not despise (Psalm 51:17). @reverenddarrenmcclelland
