I think there are lots of different people who could become your soulmate, but not necessarily just one person out there in the whole world. I think they become a soulmate once you get to know them and they you and you connect.

I agree with you guys about the soulmate thing... I believe we can connect deeply with many people in our lifetime and we can be attracted to them etc but I think the problem is when people think that connecting is all it takes and then everything will automatically sort itself out... I think you need to make a conscious decision to love someone in good times and in bad (even in moments when you don't feel connected to them). But to even get to the point of making that decision you have to have a deeper connection and attraction :) if that makes any sense.. this is how I see it! (btw I have never been in a relationship so this is all just from observation of other relationships I have seen)

I believe in soulmates, but for me my soulmate is my best friend. I don't necessarily believe in a romantic soulmate--I'd probably agree with Lauren about how there are multiple and then you end up with one--but I think there is definitely someone that you connect with in the deepest way possible and end up spending the rest of your lives together. To me I see it as more of a best friend kind of way rather than a love interest kind of way.

I agree with Christina about soulmates. Relationships are not destiny, they are formed by what you go through together and what you choose to do with your relationship. There are definitely some people more likely to become a "soulmate" but definitely there is no "the one".

If you want to break off a friendship, I have a few tips: 1) KNOW WHY YOU'RE DOING THIS! 2) If you're not that close and the person isn't talking to you much from their effort, drift away 3) If they're a close friend then you owe them A TRUTHFUL AND POLITE EXPLANATION! Don't lie about why you're doing this! Don't make up silly reasons bc you think it's gonna hurt them less: IT'S NOT! FIGURE OUT WHY AND TELL THEM WHY! YOU OWE THEM THIS MUCH AT LEAST! I'm just saying this bc people broke off friendships with me before, and the WHY honestly bothered me SO much! I would ask and would get no answer, or a weird answer, and bc I didn't understand it hurt me way more than it should have. I figured out some reasons years later, and for two I actually found out the reason. One apologized and I was like: Was the thing you said really the reason coz that was weird And she said: No, of course that wasn't the reason WHY'D YOU SAY IT THEN???

My opinion on soulmates: I think there's multiple people you can connect with in life whether they are your friend or significant other, but there's (hopefully) not just one person out there you can connect with in that way since those people can be an incredible part of your life. They can come and go, they can stay for a long time, etc. but deep connections make life meaningful and those kinds of people are everywhere.

What you described is a twin flame, your one true love. Soulmates are just people you have deep connection with, but not necessarily a romantic connection. It can be a family member, or a friend. It's all actually pretty interesting, you should read up on it!!
