Please show more of the SM on the road. Im just now restoring an 1974 SM IE and got to drive it for a few hours. Imj really jealous of you for this opportunity to drive this car through Italy. Next year the Citroen SM will have its 50th anniversary and an international meeting of this cars will be in France. Hope to see you there with this car.

Awesome! Good luck with the rally. The 275 GTB4 is my favorate classic ferrari. The first road prancing horse with a transaxle, fully independent suspension, and disc brakes all round.

Citroën and Maserati are about to be (in) the same company, so no need for collaboration. You just have to ask that Portuguese guy, Carlos Tavares, to do it.

Sooo excited for this. The SM really stands out in the crowd, I love it. :) Regarding the editing, I don't care if it is just clips slapped one after the other. This is about the atmosphere and journey. You being up all night editing, would probably affect the content on the next day. The lack of sleep would probably also accumulate over the race days, so get your sleep JWW. :)

Great choice of car, worked on an SM, lovely V6 engine, take some Lhm fluid with you for the hydropneumatic susp. system ;) if the a/c is ice cold face the centre vents away from the chrome gear lever ;) looking forward to next installment, great vid as always enjoy the rally :)

Well that's what there known for. Ten years ago international car designers like Callum (Aston DB7, Jag XK, F-type etc.), Giugaro (Ferrari 250 SWB, BMW M1 etc.), Murray (McLaren F1), Okuyama (Ferrari Enzo), Tjaarda (DeTomaso Pantera etc.) and others chose the Citroën DS as the most beautiful car design of all time.

I remember, as a Much Younger man, reading a road test or two on the Citreon SM, and thinking then what a cool car it was. I recall reading of a Lock to Lock design of half a turn of the Steering wheel. which was, and if it was a production feature, still is something very unique? I live in New Zealand, and there is an SM housed in the Southward Car Museum in Otaki, which I believe is the only one I have ever seen "In The Flesh?"

Citroen had a decades-long tradition of clean-sheet engineering - note Traction Avant, 2CV, DS, GS. The combination of having bought Panhard, Maserati etc, the investment in Comotor (Wankel engines) and luxury cars with a gaping hole in the middle range, and the oil crisis meant Citroen went bust in '73. It got bought by Peugeot, and had to become a cutesey branch of a large car corporation, so we get abominations like the DS spin-off brand.
