Hmn, those people at the indigenous event were not very receptive, specially that guy that completely ignored you when you asked him something ( that was rude ), I can assure you that Brazilians are very nice people 👍, you will see when you go to other cities, oh and the lady at the restaurant was nice👍

I was born in Boa Vista. Unfortunately it seems like your experience in my hometown was not the best. I will agree that Boa Vista doesn’t have a lot of historical landmarks as it is a relatively new city (founded in 1890) and its historical buildings haven’t been well-maintained. Some of the parts of Boa Vista you walked by - like the Beiral, neighborhood that’s close to the riverfront part you visited - are among the worst in town, I would not recommend them to a tourist. There’s cool places to visit around Boa Vista (nature is still beautiful), but they can be a little ways outside of town still. As for the indigenous rally you saw, it’s very uncommon in Brazil for people to not want to be filmed. I think their request to put cameras down was because this a political rally of one of the state’s indigenous movements that face a lot of opposition within Roraima. Overall, great video. Hopefully you get a better impression of Roraima and Brazil down the road.

Those guys say they don't think Venezuala is going to change.. What do you think Roger? Is it going to change or no? Also when you were there from the videos it didn't seem too dangerous, but obviously the economy is really bad

The event that was taking place in the square debated the bill that was being debated in parliament that would affect the marking of indigenous lands in Brazil. The indigenous people fear that with the project, legal security regarding the demarcation of their lands would be weakened.
