Since people are mentioning it, the main difference between Frostpunk and Frostpunk 2 is essentially micro- versus macro-economics. In Frostpunk you have to micromanage resources, people, building placement, and human resources very carefully lest everything fall over (looking at you, Fall of Winterhome). In Frostpunk 2, there is a lot less immediate micromanaging lest everything immediately fall over, but you really need to be carefully planning ahead, anticipating incoming economic challenges, and carefully tuning your economy for the best output you can get whilst managing *politics*

Sorry, but you are wrong. Frostpunk 1 and 2 have no difference between them- in each of them you follow very strict order of things to do and diverging from this path is only possible on lower difficulties. Get any other city building game and it will smoke Frostpunk. Because this game is a puzzle game and not a city builder.

@@salce_with_onion Sorry but you are wrong. City builder games usually have a very strict order of things to do and diverging from this path is only possible on lower difficulties. Get any other city building game and it will likely be a very different experience from Frostpunk because city builder games generally fit into very different niches from each other and are satisfying in different ways. This is because city builders are a highly varied genre of resource-management game and each has something interesting to contribute. Frostpunk is fine, it's just not your cup of tea.

Seen a few clips/videos of your steams recently and I've enjoyed them a lot. Core Keeper/Frostpunk in particular I too enjoy playing, they are nice "cozy" games I use between other game releases or if I just want to chill. Defiantly going to try and catch some live steams on twitch. Keep up the great work! :D

In the first game, u can hear short conversations but they're either a part of the ambience or sfx volume sliders and they're pretty quiet, i never figured out which

You should play frostpunk 1 it is more people focused, you can even klick them and follow them and they have names and political alignments. Frostpunk 2 is more macro scale and i too miss my little people.

Well games like Simcity (2013) and City Skylines are very macro scale but you can still see the individual people. Frankly the devs for this game totally dropped the ball.

@@GeorgeMonet I fell you, it would have been cool to keep the group dynamics and still be able to follow the people around from work, to the pup then market and home. But in the end i think it is just an minor grievance for me .

Limes you should play Frostpunk 1 sometime. Its very cool(Heh). Its also a very different type of game compared to Frostpunk 2. FP1 is more on the smaller scale of just trying your best to keep a city and its people alive instead of dealing much with politics and things.

Like the first game it is too full of false dichotomies and things that just don't make any sense. Such as how the game claims it is so cold out that people die if they are not near a source of heat but you can send out explorers who are not near any heat and have no food but live forever. It is a violation of the internal logic of the game.
@truecaliber1995Ай бұрын
@@GeorgeMonet I mean, we did see advanced transports in Frostpunk's On The Edge DLC. Who's to say transportation hasn't advanced enough to provide heat for convoys and such, since? As for the first game... Idk. Frostpunk is set in a steampunk world. Though, admittedly, devoting resources to research and build transports for the scouts so they could venture further into the wasteland, would have been an interesting choice.

@@lucygooesy as someone who has played through the entire game, I disagree. At first, it feels clunky and not as fun but after the first hours it becomes very fun
