I listen to them once a day, I leave comments, but no one ever responds to me! I think all there fan's should leave more comments, on there video's of them together and stop watching there new stuff even though it's so good from both of them, there still better together!

@@stardustgirl2904 Dear stardustgirl, you have written many sensitive and insightful comments under videos of "The Civil Wars". so I suppose you know them personally. The Civil Wars broke up, and nobody knows why, but that's really nobody's business. But the nature of the breakup and the later behavior of John Paul tell me that the reason was a severe personal injury. And now I come to the point: Is it not possible for you as a personal friend to have a clarifying conversation with JP about a reunion? Both of them sent clear signals in their songs after the separation. JP expressed it in his song Black leaves: There's always a second time around. Joy shows quite clearly that she is ready: Come on back to the front porch, say my name through the screen door, whatever you've done it doesn't matter. And she does what a good woman does. Maybe they just need a push. A personal push. It would be just great if you as a personal friend could give them this push and take the opportunity to make a kick-off-meeting for a reunion. Or am I totally wrong?

How on Earth are these two not incredibly well known all over the world? I wish, though, they would do a lot more of these up-tempo, high-energy pieces. They may have done the really sparse, dreary songs enough justice.

I can't believe I missed them in Toronto. I have been following them for over a year now. A small venue like the Dakota Tavern would have been excellent.

They never broke up, they simply put their tour on hold and took some time to focus on their lives. Joy just had a baby and I'm sure found it hard to be on the road. I think its amazing they acknowledged their need for a short hiatus and took some time with what is important in life. Glad the time away did them well and they are releasing a record in August.
