Thank you, thank you, thank you Tom! You are superb at explaining things. I was in your reed workshop class years ago at my college, and after that event, all my clarinet buddies started sounding good because they started practicing with french embouchure with better balanced reeds. I've been watching your videos and re-learning what I had learned in the past. I really appreciate what you have been doing for us struggling clarinetists.

I play clarinet/bass clarinet in a High School Band. We where playing for a scale test, and she asked to see my embouchure. I have very sensitive teeth, so the single lip was uncomfortable. She asked me where I learned to use a French embouchure. I had no Idea what it was at the time. So I ended up accidentally learning to play double lip. All along though that I was just playing it wrong. Thank you for clearing up this for me. Love your videos

Same here - I learned double lip in 6th grade on Bb and later moved to bass clarinet.

I learned this method from the beginning. I can't fathom playing single reed.
