Shout out to their mom the late Dr Mattie Moss Clark who trained her daughters (the original 5) without whom the Clark sisters would not have been possible thier mom was also vocally trained. The Clark sisters has been blessing our ears for over 5 decades. Also credit to Twinkie who wrote many of their songs most of them were/are hits.

The Clark Sisters are so wonderful, they could sing in the sleep! You need to listen to The Winans (as well as Vicky, BeBe & CeCe and Angie & Debbie) and please listen to Vanessa Bell Armstrong (especially her album where she sings You Bring Out The Best In Me) and Yolanda Adams Just As I Am album). And finally, you need to listen to Tramaine Hawkins Freedom album.

The performance is so amazing!! So back story on this performance is that this wasn’t not originally to be sung Donald Lawrence wanted them to sing this song originally recorded in 1979. Prior to this the four of them weren’t performing together as a groups Twinkie was doing her solo career. However the Clark sister have such chemistry and gel that brings them together musically!! This is one of THERE TOP LIVE PERFORMANCES!!

Let us not 4get that there is a HUGE difference in blending of the tonal sound & ability in singers who are BIOLOGICAL SIBLINGS, the close resemblance in their tonal qualities is what they SHARE genetically & it's very different from non-related people who come together to sing. These Legendary Queens began singing as toddlers, Karen the baby of the siblings, began singing along w/her siblings at the tender age of 2yrs. The group was the ❤'s desire & brainchild of their Mom, The Legendary Mattie Moss Clark, the phenom choir director. She taught them everything she knew & Twinkie who began working as her accompanying pianist (Hammond B3) as a young teen, she carried the group to another level & without realizing it, she took Black American Gospel into the new age, which is where we REMAIN today!!! What they mean to Black America is unexplainable & incomparable. Because of slavery, when our people had nothing else & they lived being controlled, tortured, tormented, beat, raped, murdered & their families being ripped apart for over 400 years w/no change in sight, we NEEDED sumthn to comfort our broken & hurting spirits, sumthn to turn to, to keep our very sanity & keep going & that "thing" was our SPIRITUALITY, FAITH, BELIEF IN & LOVE FOR GOD OUR ALMIGHTY, SOVEREIGN LORD, so this is why like you said, you've seen the passion that they've given in their performances be no less than 200%. Thank you for listening to our recommendation over the years & for falling in love w/The Clark Sisters & allowing us the blessing of watching you enjoy our foremost, Premiere Group, tantamount to actual Royalty in our eyes, THE INCOMPARABLE, UNRIVALED, UMATCHTED, UNCONTESTABLE CLARK SISTERS 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾!!!

From my people especially from the previous generations their harmonies was common. I come from this level of harmony my grandfather and grandmother both sang in gospel groups. The gospel group my grandfather was in had basically Take 6 level and Clark sister harmony but there influence all of the black churches and Gen X R n b music.

Nah, their mother put the group together and Twinkie got the blessing to lead the group later in life. Initially Twinkie was just writing songs along with her mom. I was actually supposed to be onstage this night but I marched in the band for homecoming and I was told I couldn’t because of that. Had I known folk were just going onstage I would’ve too #FAMURattlers

Please react to this Clark Sisters performance. It is the known only performance of their song "I've Got An Angel" were all 5 original members were present as Denise left the group sometime after this. Jackie is closest to the mic singing lead, behind her is Denise on the left, Karen on the right, Dorinda behind them and you'll see Twinkie towards the end of the video playing the organ. For the harmonies, Karen is sing the highest harmony, Denise & Dorinda are singing the middle (though you mostly hear Denise cause she's closer to the mic), and Twinkie is singing the bottom: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGe3qGODe7iGq7csi=qI9On-2s6qnk7p-r
