New York City was the shit in the early 80's. Growing up as a teenager back in them days was adventurous, regardless if you were painting graffiti on the subways, or battling someone or some crew in the clubs. The entire city no matter what you were in to, was vibrantly electric and exciting. Ahh, the good ole days.
