I hate the games that save through batteries because when the batteries goes bad you loose all your saves and have to start all over again. I know in the past that was necessary from game developers because of limitations on technology or to save money but today it is so unnecessary to do there are so many option that can be utilized today like chips that hold save data or sd cards to name a couple.

I dont know what brand of battery they use. The cheapest no doubt. So if i was you id buy a branded battery one that last 10 years plus before i even plugged in the cartridge itself. Jusy an idea..
