Jeez that 6800XT is loud! If I were to build in the H210 I would probably go for a strict 2 slot card only, like a regular 6800 or 3080/4070 founders edition. Thicker cards will also have a hard time breathing as you have demonstrated, although a good undervolt could probably help that 6800XT run a bit cooler. Sick build nevertheless.

Appreciate the feedback! I used hwinfo to log the data during the runs and saved that as a .csv. From there I imported the .csv to google sheets, created the graphs then imported and animated it in Adobe Premiere. There may be an easier way of doing this but I'm used to this method and google sheets is free haha. I tried using PowerBI to create the visualizations in the past but could never get the exact I was looking for.

@@MatthewMora thanks for taking the time to reply! I should have phrased it better. Would you recommend the 6800XT in a "normal" high end full atx build. My main worry is it's just not as good as the 3080
@MatthewMora3 жыл бұрын
No worries! I haven't had a chance to use the 3080 on a daily basis but most benchmarks show the 2 cards as being fairly equal in gaming performance (depending on the titles you play). If you're planning on using the NVENC encoder to stream or for any productivity then I would lean more towards the 3080. But it's also still a little rough up here in Canada trying to find a GPU and I would probably just get whatever is readily available :)

(Built my current pc in 2016 with a B350 board, Ryzen 5 1600 cpu, 16gb ram, and of course the 1080) or is the 3070ti going to be a way better upgrade and worth it?
@KonstadinosMourtziapis3 жыл бұрын
Would you recommend build a system in September or wait for the AMD 3D V-cache CPUs (are they going to be released end of year or something)? If that's the case i can wait 3-4 months for that. Great build by the way, has the parts i was thinking to put together (apart from graphics card which is a pain to find).
@MatthewMora3 жыл бұрын
Depends on what your use case is for your PC and how long you're willing to wait to be honest. The current gen CPUs from AMD are already more than enough for my personal and professional workload. The 3D V-cache technology looks promising and I've heard reports of up to a 15% performance increase while gaming but those are also numbers coming from AMD marketing so we can take that with a grain of salt. I've read that the new CPUs are set to launch in early 2022 but I'm slightly worried about availability for these CPUs on launch (based on the 5000 launch availability). All 5000 series chips are readily available up here in Canada and I've even seen the 5900x drop $50 at most retailers. Tech is always advancing and it's so hard to time an upgrade whether it be a CPU, GPU, smartphone or even simple earbuds haha. If you aren't in a rush and currently have a working PC then I would probably wait for reviews of the new AMD CPUs (hopefully early 2022) and make a decision then. Worst comes to worst, the new CPUs aren't available on launch but the 5000 series drops in price. Sorry that it's not a concrete answer but hope that helps.
