3:40 “The size of the game may be up to 150 stages” I have a theory about this. Perhaps in the demo, there was only one star to collect in every stage. Naturally, if this guy was to assume that every level would follow the same rules, they would all have one star. This also tells me that someone from Nintendo told this man that there would be 150 stars in the game. That’s interesting, because they added in 30 extra stars in the DS port. They mostly revolved around gimmicks like switch stars and character power flower abilities though, so I do wonder where the original extra 30 would have been.

"50% complete" Remember, Mario 64 was originally planned to have over 50 levels, that means Nintendo cut over a HUGE amount of these levels from the 1995 version and the ones that we see in this build were wildly different than what was in the 1996 version. The Shoshinkai footage even shows some more levels cut from the game altogether too.

I still love this version of Dire Dire Docks. I pray that in these leaked roms there's a version that actually includes this (it's highly unlikely since this one is heard in this specific demo, but hope is always there). I love those pads more than what the final version uses with electric pianos. More smooth and it really gives off the vibe of swimming through calm waters.
