I'll be honest here. I don't understand people saying they are low income, but more then willing to just let stuff go in the end. Someone paid for all those belongings, yet, you have a huge dumpster full of belongings. Good for you cleaning it up. and helping out. Just because a person doesn't have much, it doesn't mean they have to live a messed up life, but we see it all the time. So, maybe that's why it is as it is.

Absolutely true. It’s very difficult for me to understand the mindset that would leave all of that in the manner that they did. I assume there was some extreme circumstance that led to the condition there.

Low income families can't afford storage and most people stay wherever they can. Most of the time it's someone else's house and they are nice enough to help, but don't have room for all their "guests" stuff. They end up not moving in the allotted time cause they have nowhere to go. So all their belongings get locked in and they get locked out. In all my experience nobody ever wanted to leave all their belongings.
