when i was in secondary school, 2 years ago, i got into thsi music after attending a Rock 'N' Roll weekender in scarborough. I have been hooked and love the 50's music so much! its the best genre ever. My friends take the micky, but i dont care one bit. If we look back, the likes of Abba and the disco era never made a come back, But rock n roll did in the 70's and has never died down. this is because its simply the best music ever. doo wop is awesome i never get tired of this great music. fuck the modern shit we hear these days! bring back the oldies!!! i'm only 19 years old but i grew up with oldies radio i remember when the oldies radio played 50s and 60s music. now it plays just plain 1970s and 80s folk and hard rock shit. heavy metal is shit.... hard rock is shit..... classic rock is getting shitty.... and alternate rock is just a steaming pile of elephant dung.... swing, rockabilly, doo wop, british rock and 50s/60s rock n roll is where its at. some folk music is good... if its country, americana, or hillbilly rock.... but the rest is just shit.

Metal isnt shit,(some of the subgenres like death metal and the metalcores maybe ) however heavy, speed and power metal can be very melodic(iron maiden, judas priest, blind guardian)...Doowop and Metal are my favorite genres...though i agree with alternative and rap sucking... luckily there are some good modern doowop groups like roomates and the firebirds
