Things we learnt from this episode: 1. The first overseer's true motivation was to protect his son, but the power corrupeted him. 2. Magicans's magic use to have different colors, this could depend on their personalities, wether they are evil or not, or more...Then, the magic school probaly come and invent a ranking system by color, thus creating the magicans we know today. Some magicans later found out how to control elements like fire, ice, poison, some master in a specific types of magic like chaos, illusion, time... 3. We can see the serpents and many monsters in the background of this video, suggesting many of them were not created by Ava, but were already there when the third stickworld was created.

From what I can see Magicians used to be more unique. But over the years evolved into elements but then devolved into Tiers since there were more magic colors than the basic tier system we had at the present of (Pink, Green, Yellow, Red, Blue, Purple, Grey)

The reason for that old technique appearing (along with magicians of random colors) in this video is that it took place before the "modern" tier-based magic system was introduced. The final video in this series will show how that tier-based system was started. I suppose that beam magic combined with curve magic from the new system would still allow some magicians to do something similar though.

It seems the mindset of the magic caster had made them learn different unique abilities, here are three examples: The (former)First Overseer had brute force because he wanted to protect his son so bad that he is now trying to kill everyone so nobody shall damage his son. The First Overseer’s son, Gabriel, had teleport as his unique skill, as he is trying to escape his father’s grasp of protection and to try to protect others. Mike(from The Stickworld), had learned full heal and shield because he wanted to protect his family as well, however, in a supportive and appropriate manner.

I expected TFO to have become evil because he was mistreated by his parents or something, but him being overprotective of his son after losing his wife is way better! Those never before seen magic variations are interesting too, they probably evolved into the magician tiers we know today. This has already been said by others but there are pacing problems. You could try making the bonus interactions as short as possible, like that Magician with blue magic threatening two Stickfigures. You could've removed the part where he keeps on talking about his weird powers. Also, don't be scared to go over the 10 minute mark. Even an extra minute can really help with the pacing issue! Although I'm not really bothered by the tone of scenes and music changing quickly, you could try to have the music go on for an extra 5 seconds and slowly fade out. But that's all I have to say, great job on the visuals! Also, do you create backstories when you have to, or are they already written? Because you always find a way to give characters a motive and connect everything, it's impressive!

I know most things are pretty fast-paced, but most viewers seem to lose interest as soon as things go too slow. Where in the video is the music cut out not good? @Zeruel82Mk2 I see For the music, I just rewatched a few minutes and found it at 4:30, 4:40, 4:55 and 5:05. For 4:55, maybe you could've not put the mysterious music and have the woosh sound effects of their limbs moving while talking and then have the action music. Then have the action music start fading out a bit before the Magician dies and have it fade out for 3-5 seconds. Then have the mysterious music play and have it go from silent to louder. I don't think many people are bothered by the music changing quickly but this may satisfy the ones bothered. For the interactions, I really like them! But maybe you should shorten some to help with the pacing. To avoid slow paced episodes, don't overuse those tips. It's okay to have a few quick tone changes and don't remove the extra interactions entirely. But that's all for this 5 page essay lol. 🤓 I really enjoy your animations, keep it up! 👍

@@thedogmagician1050 The problem with the old system is that all damage is decided/made up as the fight goes along. The same goes for coming up with power levels etc. The new system will use "real" values for Attack, Defense and calculated damage. What used to be mpl will now be divided into Attack and Defense values. An increase in Attack (from say 2 to 3, or 8 to 9, doesn't really matter) will double the damage dealt by that character, and an increase in Defense will halve the damage taken. The base damage, i.e. the damage taken be someone with the same Defence as the Attack of the attacker is 40.

Despite being a very tragic character, I am under the impression that by the time The Stickworld starts he is beyond repair and purely evil to the core. This is shown with his motivation, and the contrast between his character in this episode and the main Stickworld episodes. While in this episode he is very sympathetic as he started off just wanting to protect his son, he slowly looses his redeeming qualities. Even then by the end of the episode he is still motivated by his tragedy, as he is under the impression that his son has been taken from him and has abandoned him, even trying to kill him several times, and tries to destroy the Stickworld out of vengeance. However, by the time he makes his debut in the Stickworld, he begins to subvert his tragedy, as Gabriel proves to him that he did not abandon him and that he was not taken from him as he was the one that revived The First Overseer in the first place, but despite that, The First Overseer simply doesn't care anymore, the only thing he cares about his proving that he is the most powerful in the world, and he sees his son as less of a person that he once cared about and more like an object. While it is possible for The First Overseer to have a redemption arc now that his backstory is revealed just like The One, I don't think that this is going to happen as he is no longer motivated by any sort of sympathetic backstory whatsoever, simply focused on his god complex and his need for constant power.

The Cliff 7 part 1, 2 and 3 ended season 2 of The Stickworld. The Cliff 0.5 part 1, 2 and 3 (soon to be released) are sort of backstories and shows what happened long ago, before The Cliff 1. Season 3 of The Stickworld will start with part 25 in October 28.
