I’m guessing that this song occurs after “Fear & Whispers” when everyone in Spindlewood finds out the truth about Constance Reed, causing them to turn against her. Amelia Glynn is the only one willing to defend Constance at this point, so it sounds like she is confronting Will Riley upon finding out that he and his mother are planning to kill her. Amelia might have somehow been aware of Will’s feelings for Constance before she was revealed to be an automaton, and knew that those feelings were genuine, so she is using that knowledge to talk some sense into him before he ends up doing something that she fears he might regret.
