Not only were my brother and I obsessed with this game as kids, but I always loved the music and sound effects. They are so satisfying . I’ve never forgotten the strange plunking crunch of the lava at 1:24:56.

I have started to fall on ClueFinders after Math Adventure got it from Singapore 23 years ago, I'm 29 by the way, and eventually making some maps using one piece of paper, making LapTrap, then turned to my teddy bears making themselves ClueFinders' Club since 2004 (now retired you know), I still enjoy ClueFinders as an adult with seeing this type of videos. I have tried ALL ClueFinders programs two years ago ultimately, thus lovin' 'em all of 'em!

I really liked math in this game but then we'd get quick mental math pop quizzes at school where we'd have a minute to solve all the questions. All the kids that solved them in the time period didn't have to do the tests anymore afterwards. There would be fewer and fewer kids every quiz, which made me more and more anxious that I was in the group that hadn't solved them. The whole class watching us 5ish kids struggle, my twin sister included (which made her "the math-smart one" and me "the one who's bad at math" because everyone always viewed us as binaries). Jesus what a bad call on Ms Lutjiy's part 😒

I remember as a kid playing a demo version of this game where the only region you play is the Monkey Kingdom, but once you solve the puzzle you rescue Uncle Horace and it's implied Mathra is still around/not a machine controlled by Limburger.

Do you believe in Monsters? was one of my favorite songs in this series, but this game in specific had some amazing osts especially the one playing when we see the real Mathra at the end the ost was so good.

i never noticed as a kid but the lavalamp guy in the chamber of illusion at 1:24:50 was a reference to the twilight zone. i also just recognized that the red right hand in the chamber of order is the same guy who voiced abe lincoln in the telltale sam & max games. hes probably had bigger roles but thats the one i recognized :p

I've haven't played this in years. The one time I did play challenge mode, in the Goo area they had strange rules that during the beetles had to guide them up where they don't match. Which made no sense.

I recently replayed the main "grade'' series of games and this is still my favorite one, I love the background music and the overall mood was more fun and lively (the other grade games are also awesome but they lack the nice music, and sometimes gets eerily silent) Also... I never realized until now that the lava lamp in the chamber of illusion was a nod to Rod Serling! Even some of his dialogue when you first meet him is lifted almost directly from the intro to The Twilight Zone!
