Wharton and Branthwaite valuations may have peaked last summer. Both were v poor when facing us. Wharton got subbed at half time for example.

I actually think we need 2. Looking at Casemiro's and Eriksen age and mobility we need replacements for both and to add squad depth. I would choose Baleba and Wharton. Probably unrealistic to get both in one window. But one can only dream.

I think central to any transfer decision is that singular goal of playing for the highest honours in 2028. Reijnders will be 30 by then. Could work, but they could also prefer someone 2-3 years younger instead

Reijnders is on the verge of signing a new contract. Just confirmed it himself so there is no cut price deal to be done anymore and doubt he'd leave Milan anyways. Baleba is an alltime great potential player but Brighton will value him at that range, too lol he's a 100 mil plus player. Guess Wharton most realistic one but even he'll cost 50 mil plus.

He’d defo leave Milan for United. His contract wasn’t on the verge of expiring, so it’s not a cut price deal. We’d still be able to get him for around £45m-£50m most probably

looking at what the team has and the problems it has had since forever, i will say baleba is the best fit since in defense they get overrun far too easily. ugarte has been brought in to help but i haven't seen him in a dead sprint back chasing counterattackers so the jury is still out on that. baleba has proven he has the athleticism enough to thrive in the epl style of play. smart and technical players are luxury types but i think the team has far greater need for other profiles right now. it's a big plus to see how baleba has outplayed mainoo in the few times they have faced each other as well. they ought to have gone for onana at the end of last season. and back then i was also already lobbying for baleba. i think his value is only going to keep going up if he keeps playing for brighton that showcases his strengths quite well.

I'm going under the assumption that United are going to be working with a reduced budget this summer. We have £25m from the Sancho deal due to come in this summer, We will probably sell Casemiro to Saudi for £20m, We will probably move on from one or both of Shaw and Malacia for a combined £30m and not to mention these players salaries as well as Lindelof and Eriksen coming off the books. With FFP still controlling spending, I'm guessing United could have between £95-100m to spend this summer. With that money United probably need to make 4 signings LWB1: Alvaro Fernandez £16.7m in January - Homegrown status, talented young player who is really well rounded and should have never have been let go. LCB2:Gonçalo Inácio £50m. Ideal LCB option. Decent in the air, great recovery pace and great passer. CM(6)2: Amadou Haidara £25m Good depth CDM who can swap with Ugarte. CM(8)2: Angel Gomes Free in the Summer - Ideal Kobbie Mainoo back up and can play both CAM spots. Homegrown Status too which is important.

Luke Shaw hasn’t played 3 games in a row for 1 year and Malacia has played 2 games in 18 months, tell me which Reta*d would buy these players lol. We let go of Alvaro Fernandez and angel Gomez no need to look to the past. And also buying sporting players is crazy, ten Haag was slaughtered for this. Zubimendi won't leave Spain, he already rejected Liverpool. I'm sure he wants Barcelona. Reijnders is definitely the best option for that double pivot role but he'd cost a fortune and would affect Mainoo's progress as they're both ball-carrying CMs. Brighton would make sure Baleba's price tag equals Amorim's whole budget. We should learn from the Caicedo deal. Adam Wharton, although, he won't be cheap but he's the most realistic option, also, he has a very good deep-lying passing technique that we need and would be the best Eriksen replacement.

I'd prefer Baleba in all honesty, have wanted him since last season, but people have come to recognize how good he is so obviously Brighton are gonna overprice him a little bit. So I think realistically, Wharton would be more get-able than Baleba, and cheaper especially looking at how Palace are reducing his overall market value atm.

i think with ugarte and mainoo we need someone with experience and move casemiro on but would hold onto casemiro till the summer and see if colyer can work his way into the team or get him a loan but ya i would say we need another mid that can play in the 6 and 8 role

Baleba is not attacking minded enough to partner Ugarte. I think we need a complete 8 and Baleba is more of a 6 imo. My choice would be Malik Tillman. Generational talent and the first player I'd target.

Zubimendi is very unlikely to leave Sociedad. He's happy where he is and he turned down Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Barcelona. Wharton is a good player for his age but he's having a poor season with a very poor Palace team. We must bring Angel Gomes back home on a free. We should have never got rid of him for Bruno.

Mate that’s not how you judge players. He played for Lille about 2 seasons ago. You can’t sign Zubimendi anyway if he doesn’t have the required attributes or isn’t the right profile of player. The fact you are going to how many games he started for Lille tells me you haven’t watched him enough at Brighton. Balbea would be a far better fit stylistically than Zubimendi and already is one of the best CM’s in the league at what he does
