It always was hit and miss. Sometimes you had very good episodes, somtimes very bad ones. It really depends on if you enjoy what they talk about and if the guest is someone that can contribute to the episode. You always had that, i seen old episodes that were pretty meh too cause the guest was either quiet for 99% of the time or kept saying things that didn't add anything to the conversation. Other times the subjects just really didn't get my attention or when they would talk for way to long about a certain game or new item. That is a general thing with shows like this, and i don't mind it at all. I keep watching all the episodes and i'm glad they continued. Some things obviousely would change and hell they picked it up so fast after his passing that i would say give it time for them to develop the new format while they are also dealing with his passing. The one thing i really do miss is when they talk about upcomming releases and don't show the games in question anymore. Now i have to look it up myself every time, just like in the past. It's just a tiny little thing and not important really, just somethine i personally miss.

Eating frozen tatertots and trash is what made him sick. Fresh tatertots are fine. Also the reason venom wants chocolate is because it contains Phenethylamine which is a chemical also found in human brains. Even if you aren't paying attention its established that venom needs to eat a lot so him going to buy food isn't that strange.

what i get from the comic, Venom requires a certain chemical (most likely Phenethylamine) to stay sane and healthy. It is thought to be a major chemical involved in love. In the comic, they say that this chemical is only found abundantly in two sources: chocolate and human brain tissue. Thus, Eddie/Venom steal/purchase large amounts of chocolate, or Venom become an unwilling cannibal who devours the brains of those he kills.... But i have no clue why tater tots...

Warning: "mild" salt towards KZbin That segment towards the end that Jessie brought up about KZbin censoring profanity... why am I continuously getting upset at KZbin these days? The only news I ever hear about changes to the platform are bad. There are basic features that people have been wanting for years that they refuse to implement, they're actively homogenizing their content by promoting End Cards and having an algorithm that promotes regular content moreso than quality content, and there is still no good reason why channels that already have a handful of options on controlling their comments section can't allow users to thumbs down a comment in order to undo someone else's thumbs up. The only times I hear someone say things like "I like KZbin" or "KZbin's a great platform" is right before they give a fair criticism of it. The only praises people give KZbin are moreso about the idea of KZbin, the way that it used to operate and upgrade its features and experience, but none of the things that people give KZbin credit for are things that have been done in the last handful of years. It's like the entire staff there is 1 robotic businessman, 2 paranoid moms with the "I want to speak to the manager" haircut, and an algorithm which according to KZbin is "still learning" and that's the excuse they'll give any time something bad happens for years to come.

To help answer Jesse’s question about the modern time stuff in odyssey. It is a concept built into previous games to the aid in creating a feel of the game as a simulation instead of actual events (a weird sort of vale from immersion) which created the idea of you piecing through history instead of playing the history directly. This worked well in the older titles since it had a meta narrative with Desmond, the ISU (the ancient civilization), and the war between the Assassin and templars in modern time. Once they finished this story they kind of had to keep the motif that it’s a simulation for either narrative purposes (black flags) or concept/design purposes (unity). With the current games it’s keep solely for the fact that it would be weird for some of the mythological stuff going on if it were real life (since it’s trying to imitate our world very closely). They keep the simulation concept in mind so that they can allow for the stories to have a level of mythical style which is the majority of the popular “history” of these ancient times. The only real way for them to keep the simulation feel is to add in a bit of preconceptions that your using the animus to dive. Now why they don’t just put this in the main menu and and have a stylized intro that gives the feel of going into an animus beets me since this would easily fix the problem people are having with the modern time bits while still having the simulation feel.

My only thing is that.. in that case, just make a new IP... there is no reason for this to *be* an assassin’s creed game anymore... except the money that they get from fans who are going to buy anything with the name on it... which really comes to the crux of the matter.
@metronicmagician18166 жыл бұрын
AleksandrSpiritwolf. The only real conflict with the going to a new IP (especially with AC) is that you have to drop the entire concept or it will be very awkward when a game comes out about a person taking on a shadow organization in a historical setting and it’s not an AC game and it’s made by the people who made AC. A good example of this is Agents of Mayhem, where it’s a new IP that’s virtually saints row in concept and mentality but isn’t and this caused a friction in the fan base which caused it to falter (being meh also doesn’t help). Though the idea of going to a new IP would sound good an IP should be something wholly unique to stand amongst the crowd or we get what happened in the late 2000s and early 2010s with the military shooter. The thought of “why should this be made especially when there’s a perfectly good IP that encompasses the same concept” would hinder the makings of a game from the start. Now unless they were to go completely change the concept of AC (like narrative ideas and all) there’s no reason to get rid of the IP, and since they’re wanting to tell stories in the idea of AC (the person fights shadow organization) there is no reason to get rid of the IP. Now I will say that there are companies that do run franchises into the ground (rock-band is a good example) Ubisoft love em or hate em can keep a franchise or a game alive and relevant. Look at rainbow six siege and how it started to what it is now. Ubisoft kept with the game and continued to work on it until it is the bastion it’s now today.

So like Genetic Memory basically require the genetic material to be encoded with the memory. So Cassandra and Alexio's genetic material has to be spilled at the end of the game for any of these to make sense. I dont know if any of these were explained.

On Dodger's take on Magic the Gathering Arena: I've been playing Magic for ten years, both in paper and various digital formats, and I had the same problem of not realizing that the timer was waiting for me to say "OK, I'm not going to do anything; that ability can resolve". I've never had that problem before in digital Magic AT ALL. The buttons for resolving and the player making decisions probably should've be in the bottom right corner of the screen when none of the action happens there at all for the rest of a game. Aside from that, the game runs fine on a casual level.

Top tip for ACO: Get a trainer. cheat directly up to lvl 50. Enemies scale up with you so it doesn't get too easy. All of them everywhere. There's no upscale limit. And from that point on it feels like a proper, decent open world game. No immersion obliterating god-mode enemies anymore (because 2 lvls above you). All quests, the world and the story accessible without grinding levels. Because normally it's handsdown grindy as shit. Also sidequests feel a big step down from origins. It's full of "clear out that camp" or "get down this cave" generic stuff without any storytelling fluff around it. Which makes getting those levels MUCH less fun than in Origins. And for upgrading you need now money AND a LOT of resources. Exponetially raising the grind from Origin. And it's NOT optional because you can't access story bits before you have the level because everybody is immortal. Conceptionally they might go for Witcher (more generic mmo really ). Qualitywise it doesn't scrape i gram of dogshit from the bottom of it's boots. It's anamazing world, pretty much wasted. Ubisoft should have the balls to stop calling these games "Assassin'S Creed". It REALLY isn't anymore.
@SylverGaming6 жыл бұрын
"Because normally it's handsdown grindy as shit. " I completely disagree. Ive been playing the game normally, just doing things what I want(I've only done a handful of side quests) and i've been overleveled the entire game. And the side quests I have done were full of story. I think you are confusing the random bounties for side quests...

As far as 1:29:00 with the "play X game, get currency", there's a thing with mobile games where you can literally buy playtime from certain publishers, something like "pay us $2 per user, and we'll get them to play your game for X hours" with the idea being if 1/10 of people who play your game spend $50 (or on average 10 players pay $50), then you pay $2 per user for a whole lot of users and make a return. So the reason they all look like a weird as hell closed ecosystem of games is... well, because they kind of are! This was probably either an agreement to direct people to another publisher's/group's game or possible games all owned under the one publishing umbrella.
@hagg3r16 жыл бұрын
The MTX stuff in Odyssey is greatly exaggerated. I didn't ever feel the need to buy anything (finished the game, didn't really go out of my way to side quest, but i did do a handful) at all and the game doesn't shove ads in your face like everyone claims. There are two locations that tell you about the store primarily with one that happens rarely. One, at the main menu on the right hand side in the area most people aren't even looking at (away from the new other menu options) which, also does not include a switching banner either like other games do. The other is a tooltip that mentions it every dozen or so load screens. The other is the button in the menu that lets you switch to it from the inventory screen system. The Totinos deal has been something that has been a type of promotion that has been happening since the early 2000s btw, it is funny though. I mean yeah, obviously I don't want microtransactions, but people didn't yell about this at all when Origins came out and it had a FAR worse system. The key difference here is that all the items are direct purchase with 0 rng lootboxes. All the MTX are the same as Origins (Xp Boost, Gold Boost, Gear,ect) where the Xp boost is a direct purchase and....all the other crap is in a gambling lootbox. I am not saying that means it is a wonderful system, but I do find it funny that the bandwagon for hating the game is now the new hotness even though it wasn't the case before with a worse system. At least the game has spoken for itself despite people being hyperbolic about the MTX. (Biggest AC yet as far as launch numbers) TLDR; The MTX system in Odyssey is only bad if you aren't into open world games and rush to the end. Sorry, but if you just rush to the end in open world games because the game is not good enough for you to enjoy the other aspects of it...you probably just don't like the game(s).
@federicocasali15656 жыл бұрын
I mean, one could be so entranced by the story that they feel like seeing through before the rest of the game. Putting a hard limit to that by suddenly bumping the level of the enemies so that they become damage sponges, from what people say, sounds pretty shitty
@hagg3r16 жыл бұрын
There is no hard limit on it though. This "level gating" that everyone keeps whining about simply is not there. You can do quests at lower level, they will just be a little harder. In fact, if you do quests more then a couple levels higher (which is unlikely to happen unless you were deliberately avoiding absolutely everything outside the story) then it will make be pretty challenging, but doable. You can beat the game that way just fine if you want. You can also lower the difficulty. Which, as someone who often doesn't like the side content in open world games, does. There is no sudden bump, as people say. It is literally the same as Origins. Smooth level progression. In fact, most stuff scales down to you anyways after the tutorial island. Every now and then, if you want to stay same level as the story, you have to veer off and do a side quest or two. Side quests also tell stories related to the main quest so you are pretty much missing out on main story elements if you skip those as well.
@aitch90536 жыл бұрын
I still see a problem with incentivizing developers to make the game unbalanced for non-mtx play.
@hagg3r16 жыл бұрын
I do too, but I don't really see the unbalance in this game as people claim exists.
@aitch90536 жыл бұрын
hagg3r1 - Still, when a company offers things like XP Boosts and Crafting Materials for real money, they're hoping people will buy it. It's not like they're doing it to "give people options" or anything, otherwise it would be a toggle option in a menu, or they could just have cheat codes. It makes me suspicious of the leveling curve and the cost of upgrading gear. With games that have (non-cosmetic) MTX, you'll never know if the numbers have been messed with until it's too late. What if upgrade costs were 15% higher than they would have been otherwise? What if there's progression gates towards the end, like you're hitting end game content and only level 30/50? When you've already invested dozens of hours into the game and have to choose between grinding boring activities for the next two weeks of your free time, or paying cash to get to the ending of the game while you still care about and remember the plot? If you have players wanting to upgrade a special piece of gear and not being able to, or if they follow the main story but only do sidequests that are interesting and end up consistently underleveled, then that's just bad game design. Trying to solve it by tempting people (and kids) to pay cash to fix it is just awful. People have to call it out and say it's unacceptable, or we'll never know whether the game is being built solely for us to have fun, or if it's just designed to bilk more cash out of us.

Juno has escaped, Abstergo ARE Templars... which is why they're so adamant about finding out about the pieces of Eden, which are the reasons to look at the memories (re-live) of important Assassins. WHICH you can only do by having a bloodline connection to said Assassin. I dislike Ubisoft, but I LOVE the Asscreed lore and what the games(some of them) are. So know that I am NOT DEFENDING UBISOFT! I didn't mind the Odyssey microtransactions because none of them were mandatory. It isn't game breaking or story depriving to not have it

This. All the gear available gets eclipsed by in-game stuff, so it's basically all cosmetics. The XP boost basically unlocks more areas for you sooner, but is by no means necessary.
@KomamuraSajin6 жыл бұрын
Doesn't matter, stuff like that shouldn't be in the game. This stuff is annoying to look at even if you're not buying into it. FFS the base copy of a game is plenty of money for any publisher. EA, Activision, and Ubisoft, all run by dickbag CEO's, are worth a shit ton of money. The pay for the CEO's themselves, individual people, is in the millions. There is no reason to treat customers like cow udders, trying to milk them for every penny. It's fairly anti-consumer to shove mtx in your face when you paid for their product, already. Stuff like alternate skins/outfits used to be in-game unlockables, so cosmetic or not, it's a shitty practice gating off content that used to be industry standard, by charging extra money for it.

This is a bit of a random piece of info. I just visited a friend who lost her husband to cancer the day after TB died. So yea I visited his grave for the first time... Loads of emotions

Woah Genna. GTA V took TWO YEARS to get to PC, not Five Months. They were developing the PC version from the start apparently as well

Assassin's creed microtransactions are there for the lazy people, who don't really want to put much effort into to the game, you can play without the use of boosters, you just have to do some more side quests and exploring, before continuing the main questline

Literally just got home from watching Venom and what Jesse said about the convenience store scene makes literally no sense AT ALL if you paid attention during the movie.

The whole thing is confusing, but makes sense if you watch the comics? Chocolate turns venom sane for some reason. I believe he's almost a Anti-Hero in the comics.
@rekrn123456 жыл бұрын
Chocolate contains Phenethylamine which he needs to survive. It also exists in human brains which is why he likes to eat heads. Regardless its established multiple times that he is always hungry so him buying food isn't odd at all.

To be fair, they should have explained that stuff from the comics subtly a bit more, but yeah, I actually really enjoyed the movie. Perfect 5/7.

Red Dead 1s lack of PC support wasn't due to lack of resources, it had entirely to do with the code base being a complete mess that by rights shouldn't have worked on consoles but somehow did. In order for them to port it they would have basically had to rewrite the whole thing. Hopefully they won't have that problem again with RDR2, though the reports of 100 hour crunch weeks does not bode well.

On the discussion about "Tropical Liquor", I'm pretty sure that the "childhood friend" is actually your sister. Not exactly surprising for an Anime game.

I agree that Assassin's Creed Odyssey is not like an Assassin's Creed game. It's why I bought it and lots of people did too. I think I read somewhere that it's the most successful AC game in recent times. I look forward to the next one.
