One day I saw a notification through Gophers Steam group that he'd be on a podcast in a few minutes. I decided to watch it. It's not an overstatement to say that that day changed my life in multiple ways. What's most confusing to me is that this means I only knew TB for just over 3 years. Yet it felt like I I had watched his content for a decade when he passed away. Sure, I watched many of the older content so I got to experience much more than those 3 years but I still can't believe how much of an impact he had on me in such a short time.

I didn't know TB was so sensitive even back in 2015, being offended for smallest things, preferring political correct terms and overall caring so much about words. And then talking against Censorship many times. Now that I think, makes sense when few times thing went sour with his wife, especially about politics. Anyways, enjoyed his show very much.

What thing did he get offended about here if you remember?

@@xavmanisdabestest oh crap i have to re-watch the podcast now haha, but yeah, I did watch almost every podcast and it started happening more and more often. Pretty much any sensitive topic or any "harmless" remark he would somehow emphasise it to make it a big deal or show listeners that he "cares" about people who are offended by those terms. Which is nonsensical thing to do, being offended on behalf of others.

@@imicca he wasn't getting offended on behalf of others, most of the time anyway. if you have a large audience and you think you've said something offensive AND you use twitter on the regular, making sure the halfwits know that you're aware of what you say seems like a common sense approach to minimize drama.

TB, unfortunately, actually cared what his audience thought about him. As a result he was very sensitive to the constant stream of invective people as popular and public as he was gets. It bothered him, even though most of the insults thrown at people like him are meaningless, baseless, lackwit statements by people who are jealous of somebody else's success. It's why he turned off comments on his videos for so long and why he stopped going on Twitter and had one of his employees do his Twitter stuff. Essentially, he'd get agitated sometimes by the anonymous, random, insults in comment sections and such, which would make him, occasionally, overly sensitive to just about anything. Didn't happen often, but people like to take popular figures down when they show any weakness so people rag on him about it occasionally. Doesn't matter. You don't have to agree with him on every belief or opinion he held to respect his accomplishments. And he did stick to his principles better than most people in a position like his. Based on his publicly known behavior, he was a good man, flaws and all.
