If someone loves using React and finds it too difficult / inconvenient to use nodejs / express on the backend, they'll probably benefit from learning NextJS. It is basically a React framework with its own backend functionality (allows you to create api routes in the same project using React framework).
@yohanneskindu8794
@yohanneskindu8794 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, but next isn't as flexible of a framework as node js. You would learn some, but not much, that earns you a cool job.
@dixztube
@dixztube 2 жыл бұрын
Ya all that magic keeps folks from learning. I’d do it for business projects but personal projects I’d recommend building out stuff with few frameworks. At least it’ll help with understanding

@MYNAMEISKLAY
@MYNAMEISKLAY 2 жыл бұрын
@@arson5304 To Rich and Yohannes (beautiful name), NextJS is just React + Api, Routing and Server Side Rendering. It is a React framework built for web applications with multiple pages (whereas vanilla React is best suited for those that only require one main view). Now, I do agree that when one is learning, they should try to tinker as much as possible with config and setups for each framework (to get an understanding for what these frameworks hide from us), but I think you guys are referring to Express as opposed to NodeJS. Express is an amazing framework that allows you to build the backend of an app (using Express), and the frontend using one's preferred templating engine (Pug is cool and sleak, but others love ejs). However, if a person is using React, chances are they'd rather not have to tinker with a backend file and a frontend file separately. That particular difficulty aside, I tried to create an app using React frontend and Express backend and it was just beyond difficult. But to each their own. Lastly, NextJS is used by Netflix, Hulu HBO Max and Twitch.

Hi PK, I am currently learning React fullstack dev on Mooc open course. Since I never did web development before, it is really messy for me.
