. . . funny: from 9:23 to 10:02 Ethan is listening deeply to his brother and then suddenly wants to pipe in - (realizes they only have one microphone between them!) - and impatiently tries to get Joel to pass the mic from 10:02 to 10:19. . .looks resigned for a few more seconds, then finally gets his hot hands on the mic to let loose with his point. Note for future Symposiums with the boys: don't make them share a mic! That's just not how they roll.

I read To The White Sea about 23 years ago because I read the Coens were developing it back then. There's no way in hell that will ever become a movie. Like they said here, there's no dialogue and the main character spends the novel either hiding from the Japanese or killing them during WWII.

The girl on the left seems to have no idea what she is asking. When you have the opportunity to ask two GREAT filmmakers some questions, you do your homework or if you have a language problem, you write down the questions on paper. You dont ask vague, general questions and waste everyone's time.
