Yes there is a way, if you go up the snow ladder and re enter the water it wont turn to ice, so go back down the hatch and it will be ice lake so you will be able to pick them up

I am having the same problem. I get to the area where you can find the third secret, where the nearly invisible warriors are. The first one encountered, next to a medipack is friendly but the other three at the bottom are hostile.
