Awesome video! 👍 Looks like you had a great time, it sucks you had issues with your heating setup though.

About time Ed got a Jeep. Great video, but you should get another buddy heater as a back up for runs like this. The cheap diesel heaters from Amazon are good too

Absolutely, I'm trying to see if I can get my thermocouple fixed, but it's already seemingly quite a hassle

Amazing video Kevin! We were cracking up over how fast you crossed that river 😂

Haha yeah, on one hand that was totally unnecessary and I'm lucky I didn't break anything, but on the other hand it sucks to go first (twice)

Love it dude, welcome to winter camping! Sorry I missed this one, between flying and having just done the SoCal drive the month before it just wasn’t in the cards. Let’s look at doing something when you’re in OR at the end of the month if you have a night to spare!

Should probably stop using mr heater. Just get a Chinese diesel heater, it’s only 130$, and its dry heat.
@RhinoOffroad2 жыл бұрын
I've heard many mixed reviews on cheap diesel heaters, and would hate hearing it run all night. The heater buddy has served me well for several years; just need to put the old one out to pasture I think.
@lederppz62022 жыл бұрын
The issue is that when propane burns it creates water vapor. Which then condensates . Condensation is not a good thing in winter . Also the diesel heater just needs a new fuel line and a fuel filter ( 15$ upgrade ) , and make sure you have a 500 watt battery, and it’s super reliable. Also you can put it away from camp and you won’t hear it .

@@lederppz6202 yeah it's definitely something to watch it for, but I do vent my tent on all sides and in the last few years really hasn't been any issue. Appreciate the support!

Lol...not "snow camping". Snow camping is snow cave or tents on the ground. No heater lol. Seriously?😂 This is car camping.

7 degrees feels pretty similar whether in a ground or a rooftop tent, but to each their own!
