As a Yankee fan I really wanted them to sign the modern day Babe Ruth Ohtani. Gerrit Cole who won the Cy Young this year had similar record as Shohie Ohtani as pitcher last season, that's how incredible Shohei was as a pitcher in 2022. Ohtani had the same Wins last year as Cole this year, both with 15 & Shohei had a better ERA 2.33 and Ks per 9 innings with 11.9 and if he was healthy all season then Ohtani would have 15 Wins and 50 HRs this season, Shohei is like Judge and Cole as one player!

I wish I could agree with you, but Dodger's situation has taken a step where MLB needs to change their rules to forbid deferring such large amount or percentage of a player's contract. Yankee's have a better than average batting lineup, but the pitching rotation needs help right now. Other tha Cole for pitching. The top important batters are Judge are Torres. Stanton needs to show up whenever possible alongside these guys. At the moment Yankees hasn't made any important signings to keep with the the Dodgers that I know of. I just knwo that they failed to get Yamamoto for whatever dumb reasons.
