It's worth noting that had Lopez directed such slurs towards other ethnic groups, particularly the Jewish community, the repercussions would likely have been swift and severe, potentially ending his career and necessitating extensive sensitivity training. As an educator, and someone who might have been in a paternal role such as your own father, who had high hopes for you, I am saddened. Both you and your co-host failed to address this serious issue, thus letting down the Black community significantly. Your lack of response to such derogatory remarks towards individuals of African descent forces me to question both your upbringing and your awareness. Remember, Mr. Porter, you are raising Black children who will live in a world where they must navigate the implications of such attitudes. Protecting them from racism begins with confronting it, not tolerating it.
