Git vs GitHub, what's the difference? In this video we deconstruct the difference between Git and GitHub. Git is an example of a decentralized version control system (DVCS), and GitHub takes advantage of this architecture to host Git repositories. Not only do we explore the difference between centralized version control systems (CVCS) and DVCS', but we discuss some of the reasons why Git has become so popular. But at the end of the day, the Git vs GitHub debate is like comparing apples or oranges: they're completely different tools, but complement each other well.

This kind of felt like being edged for an answer that turns out I already knew making it feel a bit frustrating.

I gotcha, I can understand that. The goal was to highlight an interesting detail in the title, but have the bulk of the video focused on the useful stuff about central/distributed version control, and how Git's architecture enables services like GitHub to flourish at scale. I can work on improving the balance of engaging/informative in the future. Thanks for feedback that is actually actionable.

@@tambuidev I am not going to waste my time writing constructive critisism for a shameless leech. This youtuber knows what he is doing by creating horrible clickbait content.
