I filmed this Dolphin Discovery Show on March 23, 2009 in HD at SeaWorld in San Diego, California
"It cases bottlenose dolphins and pilot whales in a splashy, high energy show with some suprise comic moments. It's a fast-paced show featuring tail-walks, spinning jumps and backflips. If you are in the first 10 rows of Dolphin Stadium you may get wet! "

I was born and raised in San Diego. Growing up, I was privileged to visit this park a handful of times and it was always a special and memorable event for me. I've lived in the midwest the last 12 years and don't know if I'll be able to go to another again (35 now). So, being able to see these really warms my heart and brings me back to my childhood some. Thank you very much for taking the time to share this with us.

+Caitlin Edghill SeaWorld supplied Ocean Park in china with sea lions and seals. Ocean Park buys dolphins from #Taiji TODAY the killers in Taiji Japan are murdering dolphins in front of their families and stealing the pretty ones to perform in dolphin parks! AND YOU SAY #SEAWORLD HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WILD CAPTURE?! #BULLSHIT

Julie Kohr I never said it had anything to do with whatever you are talking about. All I said was it reminded me of pleasant memories in my past and that I enjoyed seeing a part of my childhood again briefly. Please take your hate elsewhere.

I wish people would stop hating on Sea World. Sea World is educating the world on sealife in a very effective way. We can read a book or even watch a video like this, but there is nothing like seeing the dolphins, sea lions and killer whales in a live presentation like this. Presentations like this teach the audience about the intelligence, speed, agility and strength of these animals in a way that could never be matched by attending a class or even watching a video. Sea World is awesome!

People on here saying animals should not be held in captivity make me laugh, these same people will have pet dogs and cats, eat burgers and drink milk from cows, wear leather, stop bleating, seaworld is what it is and the study of animals in captivity help us understand and protect the same animals in the wild. Me for one cant wait for our summer trip to Seaworld

These dolphins were born in captivity so they would never live if they were set free they don't know how to hunt live feed. So please be kind. Dolphins are social animals they love doing this if they don't want to do it they aren't forced. It's no different than training your dog. I love dolphins and are so glad that they are given a safe place to live and play!!!!

Nowadays when u go to the animals shows at sea world, trainers don't talk to their audience, like they used to. And I wish that the trainers at these dolphin and Killer whale shows would talk to the audience, like they used to, instead of it being all just acrobatic tricks and silly costumes.

nate dogg How I'm ''butthurted''? I'm just telling the truth. About 90% of dolphins in these SeaWorlds are from coasts of Japan, where they separate individuals and then transport them to different locations. Some of them are brutally slaughtered. If you don't believe me, watch documentary named ''The Cove''. Your opinion about these ''happy sea creatures'' might chance. But I warn you, it is a very VERY brutal document. You can find it in youtube.

I could never look at something like that without being disgusted. Thousands of these dolphins are captured in the oceans each year (about 23 000 by the Japanese only). Most of them are killed, the 'lucky' few that are not get to spend the rest of their lives in these small swimming pools. And then people are surprised when those cute trick-doing animals commit suicide (by holding their breath) or attack the trainer out of frustration. Anyone saying they are safe and happy in that pool, please... Try spending the rest of your life in a room without leaving it and then tell me how much you enjoyed that...

I am so amazed by the comments of those people who say that captivity is so sad for those who see the ability, beauty and intelligence of these animals. These animals are maintained, have medical support, but above all they are very loved and appreciated by the coaches, the staff and the people who really go to these shows to admire their skills.Thank you very, very much for the chance to see this amazing show.

For many people, the dolphin is esteemed as a mythic creature. They are regarded as highly intelligent, graceful and friendly. Wild dolphins have been documented to befriend humans and help people in distress. Many people feel drawn to dolphins and feel a deep affinity for them. Great for dolphin therapy!

If you don't care that these apex predators have been reduced to circus animals then you have no compassion. You have been brainwashed by SeaWorld. There is plenty of documentation, scientific evidence shows how negligent SeaWorld is. Do you really believe on a SeaWorld page there would be anything that would make SeaWorld look bad? It's written by SeaWorld. You are a pawn in the SeaWorld game, you drive the slaughters in Taiji when you support captivity.
@quadruplethreat4413
@quadruplethreat4413 9 жыл бұрын
First of all, not all captivity is the same. SeaWorld is the good side of captivity. They don't support the Taiji slaughters. They spend COUNTLESS hours caring for these animals! Blackfish is 90% lies, and I'm sad to see so many people who believe the lies spread by Blackfish and PETA. Why not try to spread the horrible truth about Miami Seaquarium, or all the animals who get killed by poachers. SeaWorld rescues 1,000's of animals. And please don't call me uneducated or not smart enough. I've done my research, I've watched the "documentary" Blackfish, and have been to SeaWorld numerous to experience their care first hand. I'm sad to see you are the one who has been "brainwashed."

SeaWorld illegally buys dolphins from the brutal Taiji dolphin hunts. There's a paper trail proving this. Every ticket you buy funds those hunts. Each innocent dolphin you see in a marine park or anywhere else that has innocent captive dolphins = 17 innocent dolphins were cruelly slaughtered in Taiji. How the hunters kill the dolphins: Without giving the dolphin any anesthesia, the hunters shove a metal spike into the dolphin's head. The death isn't instant for any of the dolphins. They scream and thrash around in agony. Most of them die an agonizing death several minutes later. There are a few dolphins who are still alive and moving while being hauled to the slaughterhouse, in agony the entire time. SeaWorld CEO Joel Manby's smiling face and smooth talk are public relations stunts. More evidence of what SeaWorld is really like: the captive penguins' recent mass suicide. About the captive orcas... SeaWorld hasn't poached an orca from the wild in many years, but the corporation has exploited government loopholes in order to launder orcas. The corporation also rapes and inbreeds the captive orcas in order to keep its orca slave population. Don't buy a ticket to any place that has captive dolphins and/or captive orcas. Shut down SeaWorld and the rest of the captivity industry now. Jail the captivity industry on charges of cruelty to animals and crimes against nature.

Just as a human who doesn't have freedom won't miss it. Keeping animals which have bigger brains than humans in captivity raises some serious ethical questions. On the other hand, this is basically the only way we have to study them, and bottlenosed dolphins seem pretty content

Dolphins and whales hear at a MUCH higher frequency than we do. This is why trainers use hand signals to communicate with dolphins, they can't hear or understand our voices since we hear at a lower frequency, therefore the 'crowds cheering and loud music' is really low in their ears.

Get educated, you are living in a dream world. For every captive dolphin 18 die. They ARE stolen from the ocean, trained and sold trained to marine parks. Watch "the cove" it won an academy award. Goggle Taiji Japan. Google the sea shepherd cove guardians. Then tell me they are not stolen from the ocean. Just yesterday a Pod of 23 bottle nose dolphins were herded from the ocean into a cove in taiji japan 4 were taken to train for marine parks 4 babies were driven back out to sea to die orphaned and starving the others were slaughtered. don't believe me heres the link.www.seashepherd.org/cove-guardians/latest-news.html
