It was literally never confirmed if it was her that left it open. Everyone blamed her because she was the type to not fight for herself so blaming her was an easy escape from the punishment they would've received. Also after she gained the power to literally be FREE.. she chose to go back to that King and serve him because that's what she felt most comfortable after everything in her life was stripped away.

The most bad I feel for the character is Erwin. That guy literally lived his entire life because he wanted to uncover and know the truth about real Titan history, which his father was assassinated for. And when he was this close to Eren's basement, he gets killed. He could have hidden himself and not attacked the Beast but he did so that he can boost the morale of his soldiers convincing them to launch an attack to their deaths. Even then he survived, but when Levi was about to choose him to revive over Armin, he refused by slapping Levi's hand. What a true hero, what a legend. He is deeply under appreciated.

It should be mentioned that the first chapter of the manga when Eren dreamt Mikasa saying “See you later, Eren” with short hair, and asking her “when did your hair get so long?”, after waking up, is actually the last thing he sees in his life in the real world…. Kinda makes you think about how much Isayama actually planned ahead, and if he had the entire story written down, or how many beats he had thought of…
@cloningpc9271 Жыл бұрын
When you say that's the last thing Eren sees in his life in the real world, I'm presuming you're talking about the alternate reality where Mikasa and Eren are living together in the cabin, and that's where she says "See you later, Eren." Because she doesn't say that right before killing him in the manga. It just shows the reality again where she holds holds his head. So technically, the last thing Eren sees before dying is that alternate reality with Mikasa saying "See you later, Eren." I hope that makes sense. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
@StubbsDK Жыл бұрын
@@cloningpc9271, true, it is in the alternate reality, but I feel that it can be interpreted as what he sees reflects what happens in the real world, because the last thing Mikasa does in the alternate reality is hold his head in her hands, leaning in for a kiss, and we then see her giving him a kiss in the real world. You know, like you can influence a person’s dream by talking to them while they’re sleeping, and it “bleeds over”?
@cloningpc9271 Жыл бұрын

Couple of things: Ymir didn't accidentally let the pigs out, she knew what she was doing. Ymir wants freedom (hence, why the Attack Titan searches for freedom), so she frees the pig. Secondly, Ymir didn't propose a deal with the king, it was the king who decided what to do with her, and she had no choice in the matter because she was a slave. Eren wants to be free of the titans, ymir needed someone to help her become free from her own inherent enslavement. Just like the soilders and civilians that succumb to fighting wars based on lies. Great video, but Historia (Krista) and Ymir were obviously more than best friends. They were in love, not just gal pals.

So....this story all hinges on Eren being able to (conveniently) manipulate the future and convince Grisha (his father) to kill the Fritz family in a dream sequence. Kind of stupid if you think about it. But still a fantastic show.
@mac1462 Жыл бұрын
Why do you think so? Literally anything beneficial to a main character can be called convenient. If it wasn't gas lighting you with his future sight since episode 1 it would be convenient, but since it did, I think it's awesome.
