The Complete Encanto Timeline | Channel Frederator

Encanto is a unique story centered around miracles. The belief that at the toughest moment of your life, something madrigal can happen. But the story further pushes that sometimes Miracles come in shapes that nobody recognizes, and such is the case with Mirabel, who, unlike the other children growing up in Casa Madrigal, possesses no special gift, and thus is sadly viewed as dead weight and inferior. But this does not mean she does not possess a miracle. In fact, the series goes so far as to say that we often times make our own miracles, and that is what the ending portrays. The magic returns because they rebuilt the home and village from scratch. That causes everyone’s abilities to come back, and the magic to return. I suppose the moral of the story is that everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, and that sometimes strengths aren’t as apparent, but are no less important. But enough on that, you came here for Bruno, right? Right? Yeah, well, we’ll include the other characters too.
And boy are there a lot of characters. Lets see how much of it I can remember, and if I can properly place these all in a timeline. Now, before we begin, I’m going to let you know. We’re going to use actual years here (Fan-Fare)! While the time period is left ambiguous by Disney, we actually can make really well educated guesses at what year the movie takes place. I’m going to trust this educated guess, because a lot of people who are far smarter than me have told me so with great enthusiasm that this is the correct time period. So, shall we get started?

Great video! My only complaint is that you skewed the timeline a little regarding Bruno's disapearance. When Mirabel's room failed to manifest, Bruno immediately went to his room to try and figure out why. Only to be given a prophecy that dipicts Mirabel either destroying House Madrigal or saving it. Not wanting Mirabel to be ostracized like he was, he shatters the prophecy and Disappears.

I actually watched Cinema Therapy's video on Encanto and there were some comments that mentioned in reality, Abuela wouldn't have realized she was the problem. She would've just continued to blame Mirabel and be stuck in her ways. The only reason she makes amends with her is because... well, Disney.

Love that We Don't Talk About Bruno draws from Cuban music. The Cuban music genre in particular that it's based off of is Guajira (a genre popularized by Guillermo Portabales). Which is a term of Arawak origin that means a lord, but in Cuba that ended up becoming a term for peasant. The most famous guajira song is Guantanamera, what was the most popular song about Cuba...until Havana was released by Camila Cabello. I'm glad this movie exposes more people to Cuban music and how great it is
