People who say Kratos was a one-dimensional character before gow'18 simply don't know what they are talking about. Kratos literally waged wars all his life, and was put in situations where he had to kill his wife, children, brother, mother, father, Athena, and a lot of innocent people. Essentially, everyone he had ever loved. You can't expect the guy to go around being a smartass cracking jokes (aka having a personality). His character reflected the immeasurable pain he had endured and his hatred for gods was absolutely warranted. He was no saint himself but was tricked and deceived by gods to commit horrible acts. As a result, he was hardened to the core with a singular objective in mind, seek revenge. Despite all that had happened to him, there were a lot of instances in earlier games where he showed kindness and empathy, that he tried to convey across as apathy. He had always shown wisdom and perseverance bulwarked by his unbreakable will. His seething anger and hatred was a manifestation of the loss he had suffered. Time heals everything, in gow'18 we saw that once he had gotten his revenge he wanted to live out a quiet peaceful life in the woods battling his inner demons. Trying to grow past what had happened and to find love again with his nordic family. That is until Baldur showed up. And all throughout the game, we saw that he was fighting his own past and wanted Atreus to not make the mistakes he made. He wanted to be better, better than Zeus. And he wanted Atreus to be better, better than Kratos. Kratos always was a complex character and each game gave us a window in different time of his life.

Everything about the old games showed what Kratos went thru and how he became so enraged. Also when Kratos killed himself it wasn’t to give the power of hope to the people it was literally because Kratos didn’t want to live anymore, 10 years of suffering with and the guilt of what he has become he tried to kill himself but the gods didn’t allow that to happen, then to see his brother and mother die and being lied to about ending his visions, he wanted nothing more then to make the gods who made him suffer pay for what they did, and at the end when he got his revenge he seen what he done to the world and everything started coming back to him and Athena still telling him what to do, there was no other way to find peace then to commit suicide as he tried doing more then once in the past

So kratos gets killed by odin through atreus/loki .odin casts magic spell on atreus/loki making him forget everything and adopts him as a child ,loki grows in asgard only to know he was son of a frost giant(which was his mother) and still doesn't know abt his father(kratos)and therefore he doesn't look like a frost giant and is small in size as compared to other frost giants.loki grows along with thor and then mcu occurs

There is more than just Jormungandr as Arteus/Loki's child. In Norse Mythology Loki's children are Jormungandr, Fenrir, and Hel (The Goddess who rules over the underworld of the same name) The mother of these 3 being the Gaintass Angrbođa hi Im more curious if they will keep that part of Norse Mythology since that will prove Atreus/Loki will cause Ragnorak as in mythology Fenrir devours Odin at Ragnorak when he breaks free from being bound by Gleipnir which was placed on him by Tyr at the cost of his hand being in the wolf's mouth in case the ribbion (Gleipnir) was enchanted with trickery. Honestly Norse Mythology is very interesting and I like the take on it and how it still stays accurate to some events with God of War, but twists some facts. Like Baldur not being abled to feel anything compared to it only being pain. Makes the characters more unique and gives them conflicts.

Just finished the story last night and yea, it's one of my favorite stories in game form. I absolutely loveeeee the slow burn at the beginning and how all of these massive mysteries become clear pretty regularly so you're always on the edge of your seat. I can't wait to see what Atreus/Loki becomes in the sequel, like will he be older and still your sidekick and type of aide in battle? Or will you play as him at separate moments while Kratos is off doing something else/or at the same time type of thing???

Well, there's myth about eating people would give you some really powerful (but inhumane) power, very dark, but I guess whoever seek power until they're reach that kind of low it's already corrupted in so many ways, lost in the darkest dark. @@bigbrain9313 I'm more curious how would Kratos fight Buddhism does he fight a spectral deity embodying the morality of Buddhism or Buddha thought to be the teacher of it? Christianity would be strange because God isn't portrayed as war like or bloodthirsty. Hinduism could happen but might never happen because going into it is a trip on its own. Shintoism maybe pretty difficult. Mongolian definitely. Ancient Chinese Definetly. Islam, no. Judaism, no. Hawaiian, maybe. Persian, yes. I could list more but not going to.
