This is exactly the content I’ve been looking for! Fast, to the point information in a way someone that knows nothing about suspension could understand. And, someone that does know suspension can improve. I’m more into off road vehicles with solid axles front and rear if you could do more on that kind of platform. Thank you and keep it coming.

Not all those who look for free knowledge are created equal! The thing I love about my old car is that a lot of other folks have already dialed in a lot of the intricacies done the negative camber spindles and changed the anti-squat really like how my old car cuts curves on 50 height ratio radials

For your wishbone example: Im confused as to why the intercection of the control arms and the contact patch are not being tracked during movement. They clearly move and cross independantly in your animation, not tracking the instant center.

Suspensions Explained: Would it be fair to say that a higher roll center will have less body roll (closer to but below the center of mass) but a harsher ride and a lower roll center below the center of mass will have more body roll and a more compliant ride as the spring and shock are absorbing more of the force of a bump instead of that force being transmitted by the control arms into the chassis?

I'm a idiot but i found out about this and it became a core issue in the MR2 Community because of one guy who revolutionized it for competitive practices, leading to a lot of very competitive MR2s in the 2010s that also were sweethearts, joyful, amazing to drive when the standard (SW20 mainly) has serious flaws. My shortest take is its a naming issue, if this was just "Camber Change" and "Camber Change Multiplier" everyone would understand it. There IS a lot more going on obviously, as going too low sounds like a easy solution from a vehicle driving dynamics if not a max potential dynamics (i mean for the rear generally, on rwd cars), but at its core the subject is one where a weird engineering name alienates what otherwise should be a simple enough concept to grasp.

Unfortunately, I have not found a good book on suspension design. There are several good books on Vehicle Dynamics, however. I recommend "Race Car Vehicle Dynamics" by Milliken and Milliken and also "Fundamentals of Vehicle Dynamics" by Gillespie. The former is considered the bible of Vehicle Dynamics and you will find it on just about every vehicle dynamics engineer's desk.

I read a book where they described the BMW telelever suspension anti dive with instantaneous radius. But I guess you have to make a video about it for me to understand :D
