The COMPLETE Guide to the NEW Darkmoon Faire - Poison Enemies - Warcraft Rumble August 2024

Today's patches introduced a number of changes to the Darkmoon Faire: * Poison enemies event challenge now works as expected, you poison minis and gain progress. You no longer do it in Heroic Baron Rivendare. If you already completed it, it will show as available in the main view, but as claimed when you click it open. You cannot do it again. * Tickets from Daily Offers are no longer shared with guild members after you patch the client to 8.5 - before the patch is forced, you can still share by staying on the old patch. * Daily challenges grant 1000 tickets now instead of 100. The tickets are still personal and not shared with the guild. Therefore, if you were to start from scratch now, you could get 80,500 tickets from the weekly and event challenges from yourself and 19 guild members, plus 5000 tickets per day from daily challenges - still enough to get all the rewards, but now you need to do daily challenges for them or buy a bunch of daily offers yourself. Any progress made by the guild before the patch will make things easier though, my guild had the full tree bought before the patch, for example.

My guildie found that on heroic ramstein you also can do poison weekly. Just need harpies to stuck on abominations.

@@romeoat42able You have to complete that particular zone on normal first, i.e. just as you'd play the game normally.

The Baron thing worked! Cleared the challenge within two minutes. I used a Jaina deck with spells to mow down the incoming armies, instead. Buying major tomes may or may not be worth the trouble. For now, I'm buying them to help guildies, and will decide at the end of the week whether or not I will do the same in a future event. The question isn't how many tickets it's giving me, but what rewards, and what their value is, it will net me at the end of the event. I'm looking forward to leveling my dryad and see how she fairs in quests and battles. Great video, as always, OG !

@@romeoat42able It may have been fixed by now. I used Jaina with spells, like Blizzard, Holy Nova, and Arcane Blast, and Harvest Golem + Gryphon to defend. It's possible that there is some trigger to the bug, which has nothing to do with the leader you use or the minis used.

iOS was completely bugged until this afternoon. Couldn’t select the leader page without crashing. Most battles would crash multiple times.

I suspect the poison challenge is bugged to not grant steps 1 & 2 until step 3 is done and then they all reward at once.

Poison challenge got a reset today and the baron workaround does not seem to work anymore

Yes, it was hotfixed and now works as described, you get progress for applying poison.

Do you think buying only daily offers for 60 gold as a F2P player is the most profitable? Or buying even more expensive daily offers is better? The question is because the problem with daily offers is that they are... well... daily, so they can't be accumulated in few days.

Other than the cheap 60g offers, I would only buy stuff that you actually want for other reasons than contributing to DMF. E.g. I usually buy Arc Energy (AE) and Epic Core offers because these resources have become the bottleneck for me for further account progression.

Excuse my ignorance but what exactly does the rare o matic do? The verbiage is very confusing to me.

The Rare-O-Matic or ROM for short can be placed in any open spot in the G.R.I.D and will override Mini quality in the same row or column, changing it to Rare. The Gold cost of the Mini will also change to match the new rarity.

Poison quest was hotfixed, it works correctly now. If you already claimed it yesterday, you cannot do it again.

No it isn‘t. It‘s just some theoretical maximum number shown in game.

No, there has never been a cap in place in Darkmoon Faire despite a number being displayed in the UI.

I don't know if you are a new player, but Baron is on a world map like other bosses. If you managed to kill every boss regularly (once with any leader you want), game will unlock you a heroic mode, which means you have to kill ever boss with 5 different bosses from 5 different tribes, so you can make a progres. Now if you are a new player and you didn't unlock heroic mode, just try to kill regular Baron with any leader you like, maybe it will work.

​@@romeoat42able Yes, zones. Name of the zone is Plaguelands, and he is on the bottom, which means that he is a hard mission. Heroic Baron Rivender is for 24-25 level and casual Baron (for the beginners) I think is for like level 7-8 or 8-9, I'm not sure. Once you done that 1 clear of every zone, heroic appears on the same zones and you start all over again.
