I feel like Mussolini felt the same about Germany. Read Mussolini's writings, being around the Moustache Man was completely disorienting for the poor guy. He would basically corner Il Duce and ramble for hours.
@nicksothep84727 ай бұрын
@@hippyjoe @hippyjoe yeah, I don't remember where I read it, and Joe Rogan talked about it sometime ago as well, the situation you describe refers to Mustache visiting the Dux to convince him to remain in the war, as he was seriously considering abandoning the effort. So, the story goes that Mustache was feeling horrible and tired, and asked his doctor to give him something to "wake him up", which resulted in an eroic dose of blow and meth, someone even hypnotizing a sort of speedball, which gave him such a rush that, as you said, he cornered El Dux for hours, apparently 5!, resulting in him agreeing about remaining in the war, possibly the worst decision in recent history. Apparently Mustache was so happy about the results, that he attributed his win to his doctor, as he was perfectly conscious it was his high that won the battle for him. It is a little known fact in the mainstream that Mustache was high as a kite most of the times, certainly when in public, fueled by his personal doctor a mixture of "uppers" such as meth, blow, and every obscure variant you can synthetize in between. In some videos of the era you can definitely see the Phurer shaking from the high, moving like a rabid dog on his chair to suppress the need for running or whatever activity that level of caffeine substitutes makes you crave. It's not an overstatement to say that WWII was the result of amphetamine paranoia, if we can in fact agree that the initial motivations were somewhst agreeable depending on one's viewpoint, the way it escalated into absolute madness and genocide were absolutely not under any circumstance. Regardless what your stance is, there is a right and a wrong way to go about doing things, torture work camps where unfed, dehydrated, unclean, and generally unhealthy prisoners treated like rats are forced to work and killed at the first sign of exhaustion, or medical experiments on prisoners which were literally torture chambers to understand what is the limit of pain for the human body, or used to test drugs, which might seem like nothing in today's world, but could be worse than lethal at the time, as some side effects could last days if not weeks, during which you'd suffer without any chance of being helped as your suffering was basically the test itself, and many similar "activities", were definitely NOT the right way to go about anything. So anyway, I don't think I need to further discuss these aspects of the Reich, as they're very well publicized by "history", but I can't stress enough the fact that the routine amphetamine intake by the Nasis, paired with their strict, order based "philosophy", was a brutal, unapologetic and ruthless couple. The thing is, at the time, the side effects of amphetamines and uppers in general, weren't well understood, if at all, they were simply considered a stronger alternative to coffee, the paranoia, fixation, and generally OCD a-like behavior were ignored or considered irrelevant when the primary purpose was well over achieved, and as a person that lived among drugs his whole life, I can say without the shadow of a doubt that if I were to clean up and arm the group of crack users I used to know when I lived in London, and send them to the front while feeding their addiction with meth, I have no doubt whatsoever they'd be absolute maniacs, which would keep on fighting even if bullet ridden, stopping only when drained of blood or shred to pieces. I've always hated "uppers" for this exact reason, you could never convince me of smoking that shit to become a bloody maniac, standing at the window with an axe, and looking for crack crumbs on the table, ashtray, floor, carpet etc.. to get that last hit, which 100% of the time is gonna consist of anything they picked up BUT crack!😅 Which sounds pretty funny in tale format, but it's an absolute nightmare to witness, and I'd guess to experience first hand, since most of those guys ended up dead or locked up. That's it for today, till next time 👍🏻🏴☠️

At 31:50 the story about the two German officers whose plane came off course and made a hard landing on a potato field in Belgium is entertaining. Lightly injured, they tried to set fire to the war plans they carried after a large exercise, but their lighter didn't work. A local farmer who approached the crashed aircraft out of curiosity, politely gave them a box of matches. But almost immediately the local police arrived and took them to the police station. The officers were left alone with their briefcase as Dupond and Dupondt conferred in the room next door about how to handle a situation like this. So they threw the war plans in the lit up fireplace. But it was noticed and enough of it was recovered.

I've watched quite a few of your videos so far about Hitler and how ww2 started etc. Though I knew about some atrocities of the allied side, I never knew it were this many. My viewpoint on the war has changed quite a bit from where the allies were somewhat good to all sides have blood on their hands, and all are equally guilty for the events of ww2 and its aftermath. One thing I would've liked to see in the video is the inclusion of the German bombardment of Rotterdam on may 14th 1940. In order to force the city to surrender, it was threatened with the bombing. The city had allready surrendered to the Germans when the bombs fell. The Germans fired a flare to cancel the attack last minute, hoewever, the flare was either missed or ignored by the luftwaffe pilots. I wonder wether it's an actual war crime or a terrible accident due to miscommunication. To those who want to attack me on this matter, the allies bombed Nijmegen in 1944, which is seen as an accident, so why couldn't Rotterdam be an accident too?

Within five minutes listening to said detractor, I heard things that made me doubt him and I have come to see what you’re saying as a result. I knew about the skullduggery around Poland who behaved (imo) like that nasty little bully who acts with impunity due to the presence of his big, muscly mate. … But I had no idea quite how much effort Hitler put in to trying to avoid war. Nor quite the extent of his affection for Brits in General. I often try to imagine how the world would be if our leadership had not (possibly) been under the thumb of the (possibly) rootless. Your detractor (name forgotten instantly) includes lists of citations. I hope you do to. I’ve been fascinated by WWII since I was born just after and raised on ‘Chocks away Chaps!’ films wherein Germans were totally villainised. And of course I watched the introduction of the Holocaust and became somewhat morbidly fascinated. Naturally, this was what I wanted to research when the internet was first unleashed. Another excellent production! I like the way you show the developments and events in and around Europe that led to his decision to take action against the Soviet Union. It shows that his thinking was clearly based on strategic and war economy considerations. It was about winning the war, not about Lebensraum.
@zacheltringham85248 ай бұрын
This is bullshit dude. The war was about lebensraum, it was the driving ideological force of the party. You are correct about him taking economic considerations into account when making decisions though.

Why are you Americans and British so worried about the Soviet Union? Are you offended that he did not allow you to rob and exploit even more countries in Eastern Europe or Asian countries? What did the USSR personally do to you Americans that was bad for you? Nothing! He simply rubbed the entire West in the face and showed the world how weak you really are - and that your dominance in the world is not something unchangeable and permanent.
@Kecisverlindara8 ай бұрын
Admit that you British/Yankees/Americans simply harbored a grudge against the Russians/communists because you have strong delusions of grandeur and you believe that you are the chosen ones, the strongest and can do whatever you want, so when the USSR and China challenged you, you you cried in horror and continue to cry because you are afraid that the whole world will find out that you are not the strongest
@Kecisverlindara8 ай бұрын
why do the Americans and the British continue to cry even after the USSR collapsed, you won, what are you afraid of and what do you regret, almost the whole world obeys you, why do you continue to whine and delve into history trying to find the mistakes of the past, why? Are you missing something right now? do you really think that if the allies had united with the nazis the world would be very different today. It would be the same, only LGBT/feminist flags would hang even in Arab and Asian countries. You still would not have been able to change the development of society and abolish the dominance of liberalism and democracy; the Nazis would still have collapsed due to the influence of the United States, since the ideologies of the United States and Germany would have been diametrically opposed. Germany would sooner or later become slave of America, she would experience the stylish cultural influence of the United States, Germany would eventually become just as liberal and tolerant.
@tamerofhorses22007 ай бұрын
@@zacheltringham8524 You are like a rabid dog attacking the actual facts under literally every video. Why? I wonder what drives you to overlook the specific circumstances leading to all of these decisions and somehow keep fanning the flames of your hatred against the Nazis and the Germans. You clearly have a personal problem with all this.

Old Boomer here, you are doing well young man. I was born in1953,The Second World War Overshadowed everything till the late 1970s and every adult over forty from your teacher to the local copper or postman and loco driver had been involved. My own late father was on East Coast Convoys,the first lieutennant(Jimmy the One) on his destroyer for a while was the late Philip Mountbatten (yes him) dad used to tell us he was somtimes as scared as the rest of them average age (22-36). Apparently a fine Naval Officer who is reputed to have saved H M S Wallace and the bulk of her crew off Sicily in 1943 For more information on this inccedent and Wallace I can reccomend 'It was,nt all Mayem,by the late Harry Hargreaves,Harry was The Yeoman of Signals on Wallace. Its a good read and good insight to life onboard a fleet convoy escort in World War11 of The R N. Can you believe most did not know about Ultra and Enigma till a BBC Production on TV in 1972 despite all. My late father can be included in this even though he was trained in radar(Wallace though built as a flotilla leader in 1920 was fitted with the latest sets) at what is now The Sherbrook House Hotel in Pollokshields, Glasgow. Most do not realise the part Glasgow and The Clyde played in World War 11. The Germans did,they sent a U Boat up the river on to what too all intents and purposes was a suicide mission to penetrate the boom(No Chance). She was sunk by H M S Gleaner a Minesweeper with a four inch. Some of the U boats crew a were buried on Clydeside their vessel is in the Clyde off Dunoon before where the boom was.

Wall St and the rise of moustache man. By Sutton. Further, if moustache man wanted to "conquer the world", he did everything he could to lose. Note: for the claims made in this video, I'd suggest referencing David Irving. He actually speaks/reads German, and went personally to Germany and read the archives, spoke with surviving members of the party and their relatives. No British historians can boast that. I also didn't hear any mention of the secret Hess mission, or the cracking of the enigma code early on into the war. If he covers the topics in later videos, I'll happily admit to being wrong and admit my mistakes; but in the meantime, call me skeptical of the narrative.

The reason there was Flemish sympathy towards Germany, was mostly because of long decades of oppression of the Flemish by Walloons and French. The Flemish language and culture was pretty much suppressed and banned in many places like schools and would even be punished harshly, if children spoke it on the playground. Most officers in the army were Walloon, and there was a general disdain for Flemings. Many Flemish soldiers in both WW1 and WW2 were used as meat shields and cannon fodder. During WW1, the Germans were sympathetic to their plight and the language issue. As the language and culture somewhat share a history going back ages, they felt a kinship, as they did with the Dutch. They would try to get Flemish academics and people on their side by promising them liberation and Flemish-speaking universities and the like. That was not forgotten. But neither was the destruction, death, looting and other war atrocities. Not from the allies, and not from the central powers. It has to be said that, even with all the destruction and violence of war, the German soldiers reportedly behaved with much more decorum and grace than any other. British soldiers, being very disrespectful on occasions. Incidentally, besides Americanw being among the worst of the worst, and allied soldiers in general wreaking havoc across Belgium, the Canadians were much more respectful and treated the locals with dignity.

Date: September 25, 2024, Israel has attacked Lebanon, killing in the process 558 lebanese innocent people, American army got involved and Netanyahu is giving unthinkable "peace treatments" for the Lebanese people. History repeats itself. Late night I was shaking, screeching my teeth and crying in anger and sadness... an American mother and protestor said "I did not raise my boy to die for Britain", it can be applied today but change "britain" with "Israel".
