I had to hold back tears when you asked yourself "why do I still have fun on KC" and showed so many OG clips. I bought a PS4 BECAUSE this game came out and have bought 4 PS5's (the first 2 were stolen and my girlfriend played with me a lot on Apex) and have never regretted those decisions. I LOVE this game even with all of it's current flaws... I can STILL have fun so many years later and quite frankly... Well, it's a masterpiece in my eyes. Thank you for giving KC this recognition and the interview was very well done. Much love and have a wonderful day my guy. Edit: Gettin a lotta jokes but here's some details, my girlfriend and I both owned PS5's that were stolen at the same time. I work in server IT and hearing the technological constraints with memory is cool to me. I didn’t even think about these br maps being so huge they could throttle resources. This challenge and the timeline they had to develop makes a lot of sense with the audio issues and server issues they have.

King's Canyon is by far the favorite map of our group. Could be a bit biased since when we started playing, KC was the map that was on ranked rotation at the time, and we would spend an entire season on it.

I was really exited about this video. I always interested in what rules the developers followed when creating maps for the apex. Especially considering that they hadn’t really worked with maps of similar sizes until that moment. Wish you to get as much views as possible on this project! P.S. Kings canyon in the og days was goated, best map hands down. Rotations like thunderdome to skull town to market could result in 15+ kills in the first few minutes of the game.

Great video! As a day 1 Apex player this was a great watch! The problem with KC is that it's outdated it was built with the original 8 legends in mind, now you have legends like Valk and survival items like the evac tower that can get you across the map much faster than you could when Apex first came out. Even though I hate KC for ranked I still love it for pubs because of the nostalgia it holds and as you said the legacy it has.

Pisses me off every time the devs remove kings canyon from rotation, like playing any other map for pubs sucks ass, there is nothing as fast and exciting like kings canyon. I play pubs to fight people not play looting simulators like storm point and broken moon. What they’ve failed to realise is that making maps for competitive and expecting them to be fun in casual pubs just doesn’t work. Over the past 5 years, any time worlds edge, Olympus, stormpoint and broken moon were in rotation, I wouldn’t play and wait for kings canyon, I just didn’t want to, nothing gave such as rush as kings canyon and every subsequent map has been worse for this than the last. I used to hate Olympus and worlds edge (season 4) but compared to broken moon and stormpoint, they’re goated. That besides kings canyon is the most beautiful map by far, the contrast of greens, blues and browns is just beautiful.

It is something that Apex Legends blows every other battle royale out of the water: The map. Offering a lot of distinct locales, terrain and how every map is split in "2 themes" is a really clever way to have some biodiversity of a map. Theres hints towards a new map coming and by the looks of it, it looks really unique
