I remember when Comedy Central was only available in my area if you had DirecTV. Ibwas disappointed learning that the channel was mostly SNL reruns when we first got it.

Can't believe tosh.0 wasn't mentioned. For a long time during the 2010's it was basically the only thing keeping CC alive along with the daily show and south park. Now that all the original shows have moved to streaming platforms, CC has basically turned into the office rerun channel.

You forgot to mention that Viacom bought 100% of Comedy Central in 2003

Comedy Central was so much fun to watch in the 2000s. Now it's basically endless marathons and showings of the same four or five movies.

I watched CC for the MST3K. And also it's game shows Win Ben Stein's Money and Beat the Geeks

I know I'm late but why didn't they just make multi camera sitcoms, single camera sitcoms and mockumentaries if it's a comedy network with ranuchy humour it didn't need to be your typical family friendly sitcom
