spent many of summers in rockport from preschool- almost middle school, went back in 2014 when i graduated HS and 2015 , actually was one of the reasons i put an application into keolis (got an assessment test ) for the conductor position, not a huge city boy being from the capital region (north of albany NY ) but id love to live in and around boston regardless of the politics

I'm from the Midwest so we don't get to hear a lot about the east especially history. Great still photos and interesting interview and the cream and maroon building would be a Dead Ringer in the upper peninsula of Michigan on the So o Line. Looking forward to the freight follow-up

Great episode. I remember as a child hearing about a train over running the end of the track when someone used the grease from the flange oiler to grease the tracks. Would have been in the early 70s. I'm not sure what the building was at the time, but it was replaced with a service/gas station. Now it is the Dunkin donuts.
