I grew up on Sting in TNA. His battles with Jeff Jarrett, his story with Abyss, the Main Event Mafia, him vs Immortal and Aces and Eights, everything. It’s gonna be sad to see him retire, but he’s earned the right to go out on his terms.

When i heard Sting was coming to TNA in 2006, I had serious chills. He was someone wrestling was truly missing at that time and when he arrived, it was something special for sure. Over time he adapted and went through a couple of cool transformations with the facepaint and all of it was fun to watch. Sting made TNA special. Happy retirement to the Icon.

Never knew that sting played omage to the hitman in a TNA promo,in kayfabe and calls Bret the best athlete in this sport and respect and dignity, what Bret craved and he craves now!!! Sting is such an amazing wrestler and even a great actor when it comes to promos. Not too familiar with his WCW career since I first gotten into wrestling during Ruthless Aggression, but when I was introduced to TNA, that was when I was introduced to Sting. I remembered him with that promo segment he had with Hulk Hogan in the office (during the Immortal storyline), when he tossed all the office supplies and threaten Hogan and applying make up on him (which was the introduction to his Joker gimmick). Man, that was literally the best promo segment I ever seen. It sent chills down my spine!
