These are some of the things I can think off the top of my head why the Nuremburg trials were kangaroo courts which contradict all well-established Western legal principles. They were opposed by most legal scholars, lawyers, and judges at the time but have developed a patina of legitimacy from non-stop propaganda for 80 years.

You should use every source available, if you are researching this period. The fact that many of the German players, who were still alive, not only liked Irvine but would introduce him to other characters from the period. Gives his work, insights and information you will not find elsewhere.
