She's defensive to others and very hard. Very rarely opening up to others. She has so many sins on her shoulders, and her emotional state is still a mess.

Extra details: Tulip boards the train in November of 2019 and exits five months later. Books 2 and 3 take place during 2020. Some background Apex characters actually can be seen wearing masks in Book 3. As confirmed in the Snow Car short, Amelia was the conductor for 33 years. This also allows us to infer that Book 4 (and the unfinished Amelia film) takes place in the late 80s.

I have a random theory, In book 4, 6 year old Ryan has a red lighting mark on his face, this was definitively a David Bowie reference. So, Aladdin Sane (the album where he uses the lighting mark on the cover) was launched in 1973, so i think that was the year Ryan and Min-Gi were 6 plus the 12(?) years that go until Min is going to go to college it will be 1985, so I think this was the year of Book 4

Could it be possible that Hazel is the creation of what could have been the daughter of Amelia and Alrick. She is a failed attempt of creating Alrick, but she is also a girl and not a boy, and she has the number Amelia got when she first entered the train, which makes her kind of a combination of both Alrick and Amelia.

One thing I always loved about Grace's backstory is that she only starts wearing her hair natural when she gets on the train. Her parents both seem to have straightened their hair and hers, an allegory for how they force her into a life that is uncomfortable and unnatural and at the same time an interesting nod to how upper middle class black people usually feel pressured to mimic white beauty standards. She only sheds this hairstyle once she boards the train and seizes her own power in a space that seems to be without racial discrimination for the most part.

I really hope this somehow isn't the true end of this show. A show with a fantastical setting, but that is actually about dealing with real world emotions and issues. There are other animated shows out there that of course follow that same description and they are incredible in their own right, but I've never seen something else that does it so purposefully as Infinity Train and I just really want more!

One thing that always bugged me is how the numbers behaved with Emilia and Simon. Whenever the number drops from ones, tens, hundreds etc., this is a huge amount. Emilia says thanks and her number dropped basically by 99.999%. Or Simon commiting a sin increases his number tenfold.

I have a theory that the accident Jeremy got involved in is the same accident that killed Amelia's fiancée. Timelike-wise, it works. Jeremy's family AND Olric gets into the an accident, dies, both Jeremy and Amelia ends up on the train approximately at the same time, Jeremy hangs out at the living house for years while Amelia makes her way to the engine like Tulip did, eventually encountering One! By that point Jeremy left, but Amelia didn't! We don't know how long Amelia got on the train during the season 4 events, I think; could have been years for her, too, which would make the timeline works for the accident being connected that way.
