Running into Pink Rathian at the Cherry blossom grove. It was neat getting a Pink Rathian in early game. Also, at the beginning cutscene they passed up two Gold Rathian eggs for a basic Rathalos. *Face Palm* moment on the main three characters right there.

I just realized, this is the first time I’ve heard the original monster hunter stories voice lines. I played it when it came out years ago in the 3DS so there was no voice acting, I’m excited to watch the rest of the video.

There was voice acting in the original game, just not in english, it’s actually the in game language called “Wyverian” with some Japanese dialect, don’t mean to sound like a know it all just thought it was a fun fact

To be honest, I like the original voices better than the English voices. The English voices just sound very bad in my opinion.

It makes me so happy to see Stories getting all the attention it has in recent years, and I hope that this means that a Stories 3 is in the works. Stories remastered might not be as fluent compared to Stories 2, but it’s still worth experiencing if you give it an honest shot, especially being dubbed over by the same cast from Stories 2. This is the first time I’ve ever seen someone play this absolute gem of a game, it’s amazing to see someone else enjoy a game that’s dear to my heart. A fun little tie bit from my original play through on the 3ds, I went the entire game without upgrading or changing my gear, so I basically brute forced the entire game. No wonder I had to be level 65 to beat the final boss.

i accually seen the whole anime when it was on tv the main changes were that 1 ratha fougth narcaguca as already ridable monster 2 if navirou told you to go a certain direction you need to go the other way 3 cheval had 2 helpers who were olso corrupt riders tho they went ok with killing monstie's 4 cheval was killing the monsters with black plauge and when his mostie's were too tired to do what he wants he just abandonds them 5 the hunter with the tigrex long sword was helping out with their way to the final boss he was taking care of the deviljho's and personally i had some thouts 1 i thout dr manabler was gonna make the equall dragon weapon 2 i thout that the black plauge was hapening beacuse gore/shagaru magala 3 why couldnt we give armor to the monsties IT WOULD BE BADASS

OMG cheval sounds more brutal in the anime! AND BRUH!! Monsties wearing armor would be so sick for stories 3!! Watching the anime is definitely on my list! I was waiting to do it after I finished this game

The way you meet the Ratha in this game is way too wholesome! That’s how I would want to meet a newly hatched Nargacuga: it’s about to pounce on me like it’s new meal, but then just happily snuggles up and thinks I’m its mother!

There is one thing I like about the anime adaptation of the game regarding the cause Viersa turning to Makili. Spoiler: In the anime the Kinship ore that the doctor and itsy tries to mine 1:10:54 (the one where they're with EX Tigrex) is explained by Hakum elder that if the ore come in contact with those with bad heart the ore will be corrupted by the blight. Even then the two manage to get a sample of the ore after it got corrupted. This is the same one they use to "upgrade" Cheval's Kinship stone, and also the reason of Viersa turning into Makili. The anime expanding some aspect of the game like this is what I like about it.

Uuragan EX was Hell for me but my black diablos saved me big-time. Hitting every opponent on the enemy side was a very useful skill to have because he could dmg Uuragan and his explosive bolders!

Would totally love something like an Ultimate version for the two games where some stuff from Rise, World, an maybe even Frontier is added to the games. Like... the potential is there for someone or a small team of good modders to make something amazing with either game.

It's funny seeing now that the Switch, along with other systems having Both Stories 1 and 2. I remember playing it and enjoying 1 back on the 3DS, but oh man there's bits where I can easily say 2 improves more than 1. But I won't lie, there's some few moments where I do miss some things in Stories 1. I miss the fun little rewards you get from fighting Blighted monsters, There's a few characters I really miss seeing, and of course you have the insane fights with EX monsters. If there's anything I wish Stories 2 could've done, is to have a small conversation with the rider from Stories 1, or make him like a super rider boss where it's only just him and his Ratha.

I personally can't really say which i like more since there are so many similarities but so many small differences as well. like for me i love the story more in 1 than 2 but I love the combat more in 2, but then i love the right of kinship more in 1 than i do in 2 xD Its all conflicting

Such an underrated gem this game is, the devs when making the second said that they did it purely for the fanbase of the first. Im sad they did away with the elemental skin customization on monsties for the second I hope it makes a return should a third come to pass!

I would also like to point out the doctor and his assistant were most likely executed at the end given Monster Hunter's whole living with nature vibe. Even if it's in Stories crimes against nature wouldn't be taken lightly if I were to guess.

@SkojSkull When i play Monster Hunter Stories, the audio of the game are often muffled. You'll know what i mean if you search "Monster Hunter Stories muffled audio issue". The audio usually sounds like they came late, the music stopped and only occasionally plays then would abruptly stop, etc.
